Very good

October 2014 - We really enjoyed Villa Nora, it was pure Tuscany!

The outdoor area was great! The scenery and location were fantastic! It is quite away from bigger towns on dirt unimproved roads.

The owners were very nice and we ate at their new restaurant in San Gimignano (about 10 miles away) a couple times and it was excellent!

Travel tips

  • There's a great restaurant fairly close by and a small store in the nearby small Town.
  • Be advised that the access to the property is along an unpaved road and it is a bit hard to find.

Very good

June 2014 - Villa Nora is a very enjoyable villa in the Tuscan countryside with an excellent pool.

I booked with Summer In Italy based on a travel guide recommendation. I was completely satisfied with your services.

Fantastic

May 2014 - It was a very enjoyable stay and a good choice for our family group of 10. Villa Nora made the week in Tuscany highly enjoyable.

The location is excellent for day trips to the nearby cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena, and for visiting the nearby hilltop villages (San Gimignano, Volterra, and other medieval remnants of the Etruscan period).

We were totally satisfied with the information provided and the responses to inquiries to Summer In Italy staff. We will recommend you enthusiastically to friends interested in arranging a stay in Italy.

Travel tips

  • You will need a car to get to Villa Nora, to the nearby hamlet of Castel San Gimignano for basic supplies, and to the Coop grocery store in Colle di Val d'Elsa for more serious shopping.
  • You can catch a train in Poggibonsi to go to Florence, Siena or Pisa, but driving is quite doable if you have an experience navigator to get you through the roundabouts.

Fantastic

July 2013 - Villa Nora was the perfect setting for a family reunion!

The pool was outstanding and a needed venue after touring and on super hot days in July! The outdoor space was amazing for dinners and the kitchen had everything we needed!

The location was perfect for day tripping to the hill towns.

Great advice, service etc. Would recommend you to others and already have. Didn't need you once we arrived in Italy but feel certain that you would have assisted if we needed it! Thanks so much!

Travel tips

  • The drive to Villa Nora can be a little challenging on the first try but it gets easier every time.
  • There are nearby restaurants and a grocery store in Colle that has everything.
  • Volterra and San Gimignano are very close and great to go to in the late afternoon and evening to avoid the crowds.
  • There are some small wineries very close by that were fun to explore.

Excellent

June 2013 - We loved our week at Villa Nora! The accommodations were wonderful and the views spectacular! A true gem in Tuscany and near so many of the sights we wanted to see yet felt as if we were removed from any hustle and bustle.

It really exceeded all of our expectations! We hope to come back some day.

We would recommend Summer in Italy to anyone. The staff communicated very well with us via email and the accommodations thoroughly exceeded our expectations!

Travel tips

  • All of the local restaurants are good -- have fun, be adventurous! We loved them!

Excellent

June 2013 - I think that Villa Nora is an excellent location. If you want easy access to cities and shops, you may not agree but if escaping to the countryside of Tuscany is what you are after, this is it.

We were somewhat limited by weather in our use of the outdoor facilities but not the fault of Villa Nora. It was a great vacation for our group of eleven.

Definitely have a catered dinner or two while there; very reasonable, delicious and relaxing.

Travel tips

  • For ease of parking, bring a small car.

Fantastic

October 2012 - Realy enjoyed our stay at Villa Nora. Made me proud to be Toscano...

Federica and Piero were wonderful hosts. Just beautiful people.

Travel tips

  • See if you can get the address for the Coop so it can be plugged into your navigation system. We eventually found it but was challenging. [Guests are welcome to contact us at Summer In Italy for such information. The coordinates for the Coop supermarket in Colle Val D'Elsa are N 43.41908, E 11.1278]
  • The villa is pretty isolated. You definitely need a car.

Unfortunately, Villa Nora can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
