Highly recommended

July 2016 - We love staying at Villa Moretta B. This was our third stay here and we're looking forward to staying again next year! Highly recommended.

The villa is in a lovely quiet location which is a bit out of the way but still has wonderful views. There is plenty of space in the villa and it is very clean. There is a custom built pizza oven and BBQ in the garden, both of which we have used. The gardens are beautiful with lemon and olive trees and a fantastic swimming pool. There are also toilets by the pool and a fridge in a building by the pool, which is great especially if you have children. The only draw back we found this time (we stayed in July) was that the back bedrooms were extremely hot and there were only a couple of fans but no air conditioning.

Tina, the owner, is absolutely lovely and very welcoming, and often gives us eggs from the ducks and chickens.

Travel tips

  • You need a car to get about as the villa is situated a little way from the main village of Santa Maria di Castellabate.
  • There are numerous excellent restaurants in the village and in the old village of Castellebate up in the hill, which we have eaten at every time we have stayed here.

Fantastic!

June 2016 - Villa Moretta is a very large property with at least 9 different tables where you could sit and eat! Lovely rural feel with geese, chickens and a peacock around the garden which was full of citrus trees. Fantastic!

Mrs Tina [the owner] was a lovely host.

Good service from Summer In Italy with lots of communication which is good.

Travel tips

  • Some nice beaches that are not full of tourists and parasols, especially around Ogliastro Cilento.
  • The port of San Marco Castellabate is nice.
  • Be aware that everything shuts down from 1:30 - 4:30 - this caught us out a couple of times.

Excellent

September 2015 - What an amazing villa is Villa Moretta B: spacious, every amenity, grand furniture, the surroundings are sublime.

Peacocks roaming the garden, orchard, vines, oodles of outside space, somewhere to sit in the shade to escape the heat, wonderful pool area with its own pool house. Extremely quiet peaceful and secure setting.

Tina, the owner, is friendly helpful, polite, happy we nicknamed her 'our pocket rocket'. We lived every second of our holiday and would recommend this for anyone.

Excellent service, would use Summer In Italy again.

Travel tips

  • You do need a car but can walk into the centre in 20 mins.
  • There is a supermarket 10 min walk away and a small variety of shops selling pizza, bread etc.

May 2014 - We've rented many villas in Italy over the last ten years up to 2.000 euros per week. Villa Moretta B stands far above the rest in many ways.

The pool, large and spotless, is at the perfect temperature, pure enough almost to drink. The grounds are private, set well back from the little road, the large garden beautifully tended, and colorful with enormous lemons on blue trees. The cockerel disturbed some of us in the mornings but I enjoyed his rousing quack.

All in all, a wonderful place.

You give good experience. Well done.

Travel tips

  • A car is useful, but bicycles would do.

June 2013 - The stay of our family at villa Moretta B was just perfect. The house is big and very convenient. There are lots of nice places outside to spend time away from the hot sun and relax. The lemon gardens are beautiful. The pool is big, very clean. The overall atmosphere is tranquil and very friendly.

The host Tina is a most wonderful person, who treated us like her guests. She is ready to help in every way possible. We did not have any problems due to Tina's warm attention and help.

We are very grateful and think of coming to Villa Moretta again.

Thank you.

Travel tips

  • If you want to come to Cilento and be close to the sea and in perfect quiet and relaxation, come here. You can make day trips to nearest towns. Castellabate is adorable.
  • There are many different beaches in the area, one can chose and move from one to another.
  • The area is very green. There is quite a lot to see, if you have a good guide and advisor. Tina [the owner] has a friend who makes wonderful excursions in Cilento.

May 2013 - We loved Villa Moretta. The house was wonderful and so was the host. If you are looking for a quiet, idyllic location to spend your vacation with your family, you just found the perfect place.

We stayed for a week, two families with kids (5 adults and 3 kids) and everybody liked the place. It had all the amenities we needed (nice equipped kitchen) lovely garden (we spend a lot of time at the pool).

The host, lady Tina was very nice and helped us with everything we needed.

We didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend the place and I will definitely want to go back.

Travel tips

  • We went to the Castellabate -- it's just up the hill, we visited Paestum -- the Greek temples, Pompei (for Pompei you should plan for a day trip).
  • The area is very nice, the beach is close, downtown is close - but you will need a car though.
  • Keep in mind that for lunch break -- 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm almost everything is closed -- so plan accordingly for buying groceries, or go to eat out :)

Unfortunately, Villa Moretta B can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
