This was the most dreamlike of holidays!

April 2024 - This was the most amazing property to stay in. The views and sunsets were so beautiful. It is within walking distance to the local town and many restaurants.

The staff were so helpful and friendly and the breakfast every morning was such a lovely way to start the day. We had dinner cooked for us on one evening and it was Michelin star quality, the panna cotta was the best one I have EVER tasted!

My 7 year old grandson managed to wrap all the staff around his little finger and he loved the dogs, cats and donkeys. They are all well contained and you only come into contact with them if you, like my grandson, ask very nicely!

This was the most dreamlike of holidays.

The booking process with Summer In Italy was easy and the staff were friendly, helpful and informative. I would definitely look at booking another holiday with them. Thank you!

June 2023 - Wonderful, peaceful location. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in many ways. The staff, especially the manager, Carmen, organised the hire of bikes etc. as well as many other things. Nothing was a problem.

Food was excellent.

It is a very happy place. Great for peace and relaxation and not at all touristy. The villa itself is beautiful and the rooms are very nice, clean and large with great views.

Highly recommended for a holiday or as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast.

Travel tips

  • Definitely take a boat from Massa Lubrense to explore the Amalfi Coast for the day. Jump overboard in small inlets and take in the wonderful scenery.
  • Sant'Agata is a very nice small town with some nice cafes and restaurants.

We were truly spoiled

June 2022 - The staff at Villa Max was amazing -- friendly, professional, and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was everyone's favorite thing. We were truly spoiled. One of our family had a flat tire and the owner of the property had it repaired for free!

The property is beautiful and in a very scenic part of Italy. There were so many different places to sit outside that our group of 20 never felt crowded. We would love to come back.

It was great working with Summer in Italy. Communications were clear, timely, and to the point. My questions were answered and the information on the villa was very helpful.

Travel tips

  • Everyone in our party -- from 21 to 87 -- was able to walk to town and enjoyed that it was easy to pop down for an ice cream or lunch.
  • There was plenty of parking.
  • The gardens were beautiful and we were invited to harvest herbs, lemons, and zucchini for our cooking.
  • I have never been in a better kitchen. Every possible dish and tool was available.
  • We took many day trips, including Pompeii, Sorrento, and a boat trip to Positano.
  • Many in our party went on hikes, bike rides, and enjoyed the pool and tennis courts.
  • It was easy to walk into town to catch the bus to many locations, when we didn't wish to drive.
