Fantastic views

June 2014 - Fantastic panoramic view of the Gulf of Naples stretching from the Island of Capri on the left to City of Naples on the right with Mt Vesuvio peeking in from some angles. The view is equally good from the main building balcony and the swimming pool up above. Great for sunset contemplation with a glass of wine as the kids play in the pool - it doesn't get better than that.

Travel tips

  • Don't be discouraged by the difficult narrow, twisting dirt roads en route - it's worth it when you arrive!

Spectacular villa!

October 2013 - We stayed at Villa Marzia for a week and our visit there was spectacular! The photos don't do it justice; the setting is lovely and very comfortable.

The property manager was very helpful and responsive to our needs, and even arranged a boat tour for our group.

We will definitely return to stay here!

Summer in Italy was a great organization to work with in every way.

Truly enjoyed Villa Marzia

September 2013 - We truly enjoyed our stay at Villa Marzia. While we were quite busy during our stay on the Sorrentine peninsula, it was great to come home to the villa, have some wine, prepare a nice meal and catch the sunset up by the pool while nursing a glass of limoncello!

Summer In Italy did an excellent job! They were easy to work with and very responsive to our needs.

Travel tips

  • Be prepared to drive on a very narrow road for the last mile or so before the villa, would suggest renting a smaller car. Once you're there, however, you won't be disappointed! The view is spectacular and the entire atmosphere at the villa is very relaxing.
  • Sant'Agata is a short drive from the villa and has a decent grocery store.

Amazing views

August 2013 - We did indeed enjoy Villa Marzia. The views are amazing!

It is not too far from Naples airport (1 hour) and is a great base for visiting the surrounding area, The Amalfi, Pompeii etc.

The service received was excellent, I chose Summer in Italy because of good online reviews from other travelers and was not disappointed, especially being offered this alternative Villa to the one we had booked. My husband had suffered an illness and we were concerned about access to the original property. Summer in Italy were extremely understanding and helpful.

Thank you for your excellent communication throughout our holiday process from the original booking to communication even when we were at the villa. A good service which is to be commended!

Travel tips

  • Take a torch if planning to walk to and from Sant'Agata in the evening.
  • Don't forget mosquito spray.
  • Taxis are pretty expensive (for a special night out you can arrange a driver locally).
  • If you enjoy fine dining don't miss Don Alfonso (2 Michelin star) but not pretentious at all.
  • Restaurant Lo Stuzzichino and Restaurant Da Mimi are both worth a visit.

Excellent

July 2013 - Perfect house for two families. Young as well as older children have a great garden and pool to play and relax in.

Good place with wonderful view and walking distance into Sant'Agata village. A place in middle of Sorrento environment. Close to many attractions and fantastic views.

Summer In Italy is very good and trustworthy. Everything has worked perfectly. Quick and good information, confirmation and support!

Travel tips

  • Visit the tourist center in Sant'Agata village and get a map of surroundings, fine walking tracks etc.
  • Rent a boat with skipper in the village of Marina del Cantone and go by boat around Capri island - a fantastic trip and boat for 8 people not more expensive than the regular boat prices. Dive, check the caves and enter the small port and walk up to Capri town.

October 2011 - There were 6 in our group and we truly enjoyed our stay at Villa Marzia. The villa was very spacious and suited our needs well.

The location and outdoor space were incredible. It was evident that a great deal of thought and care had been given to designing the garden, pool, patios, etc.

I was very impressed with the whole process of choosing the villa, booking and check-in. We had no issues at all and everyone at Summer in Italy helped make the process very smooth. I will definitely recommend Summer in Italy to my friends and family.

Travel tips

  • I realize that the website does warn guests about the size of vehicle that can access Villa Marzia. Although we were a little concerned before we arrived because we had a large van, we were still able to access the villa without any issues. Being from the United States and not used to driving in very narrow roads, it was an experience accessing the villa that we will talk about for many years to come.

June 2011 - Yes, the views were amazing of Versuvious, Naples and Capri.

The villa was very comfortable (a bit too tight for 8 adults, but perfect for 6. Particularly enjoyed the outdoor pizza oven as well as the pool and porches.

Crescenzo [the caretaker] was quite welcoming, and helpful.

Travel tips

  • Bring cash, many/most service providers (taxi, boats, local retailers) only accept cash -- unaware prior making the daily budget tight.
  • Restaurant Don Alfonso was (almost) worth the price, impeccable service and suggest visitors must check out the incredible wine cellar.
  • Remember, tips are included, which is nice with the dollar being weak.

September 2010 - Very difficult to drive to as it is up in hills with difficult access. Otherwise, this is the most beautiful villa setting and the villa was very spacious and all facilities available.

Travel tips

  • You need a small car to get to this place and be good with directions from Sant'Agata.
  • Get supplies from Sant'Agata.
  • Buses to Sorrento regularly available from Sant'Agata.
  • If you want peace and quiet and stunning sea views you will love it here.

August 2010 - We had a fantastic holiday in Villa Marzia. The views were amazing and the pool and terrace areas were places we really enjoyed relaxing in.

It is a very spacious villa in a peaceful location with great kitchen and BBQ area. It is close to the small village where you could buy everything you needed. There are enough places to eat at night with good quality food at good prices.

We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

You are great, good communication and advice - thanks

Travel tips

  • Best to hire a car to get to the villa and to be able to explore the surrounding area. Also a SatNav is really useful to navigate the area.
