August 2014 - Villa Lantana is an incredible, rare to find, top location on the Amalfi Coast. No photos render justice to what we actually saw when we arrived at the villa.
Villa Lantana has a spectacular setting between the sea and the mountains, surrounded by flours and trees of all kind. The views from every room and from the terrace are breathtaking, and we enjoyed every minute of our time spent there.
The house is very elegantly furnished and we expected it to be smaller based on the description. The master bedroom has a private terrace and beautiful views of the grounds of the property.
The villa has a very private setting. The yard of the villa offers great paths for walking or running and the pool is simply spectacular, as everything else.
The privacy, the kindness of the owners and their co-workers make this place a rare find. We will return to this small piece of Paradise soon.

June 2014 - Villa Lantana was excellent and we loved it.
The grounds was pristine and very pleasant. It was great to have the security of the gates shutting behind us as we entered. It allowed us to leave the house open without fear of losing anything.
The staff were delightful and nothing was too much bother. Keep doing what you are doing, Villa Lanatana was excellent. Thanks for being great hosts, we have recommended Villa Lanatana to friends.
Summer In Italy did a great job and I love the way they operate and have kept in contact. I have recommended the company and will continue to do so. Ciao.
Travel tips
- Read the arrival instructions properly. We didn't and struggled to find the place as our GPS kept saying we had reached our destination quite some time before we had. I was ready to turn around and leave because the village looked practically derelict and couldn't possibly be hiding the gem that Villa Lantana was.
- One other thing, do not arrive without food. It is not easy to get it close by.

July 2011 - Villa Lantana was marvellous. The owners and their staff could not have been more helpful and charming. The standard of cleanliness and attention to detail was outstanding.
The facilities were more than adequate. The air conditioning was a godsend.
It was a wonderful place and we would love to go again.
Travel tips
- The train to Pompeii and Vesuvius is very easy from Vietri Sul Mare - where it is free to park the car.
- There do not seem to be any supermarkets or shops of note - but a very well stocked "corner shop" opposite the Villa which sells all you need.

May 2010 - We absolutely loved the Villa Lantana but we were disappointed to discover that the swimming pool was not filled until halfway through the holiday and that was one of the reasons we had booked this villa. I had the few first days free so and the end of the week very busy so I didn't get to use the pool once. I think we should have been made aware that the pool was not in use.
“We are so sorry to hear about your disappointment about the pool not being open until the third day of your stay, even more so because we could have helped! This gives us an opportunity to share a tip about the swimming pools opening dates. As explained in the "Frequently Asked Question" section, unless the property description specifies the opening dates for the swimming pool (which is often the case), the pool is to be considered open in July and August. In truth, most swimming pools open at the end of May and close by the end of September. In many cases we can make arrangements for the pool to be opened ahead of time or for it to be closed at a later date, and we kindly invite our guests to ask. In this case, even though the pool was to be opened by the beginning of June, the owner would have been happy to anticipate the opening date by a few days to accommodate our request. In general, if there is something that it is very important to you please let us know. We are here to make your vacation a special one, so if you have any requirement do be in touch and we will make sure that your needs are met.„
Travel tips
- We took a private boat from Amalfi to Capri for the day which was amazing.
- There is a little restaurant further up the hill from the villa which has the best pizzas ever.

August 2007 - Fantastic time. Facilities very good.
Liked being able to wander freely in the grounds. Note that the pool is an indoor pool and is part of the family house.
