Unique villa in historic Sicily

November 2025 - Had a wonderful week. The villa is quite unique; the house and extra bedrooms were full of character (and ancient ornaments!) and the plot is huge - it effectively has its own park with gardens and many different places to sit and relax.

It’s quite historic and even has the remnants of a Roman mosaic. We really enjoyed being in the town so we could walk to all amenities (wine, food, and coffee shops all basically next door) and the sea and a lovely beach 100m away. The town is non-touristy which we like, and you get to see a bit of real Sicilian life.

And there are some wonderful places nearby, not least Scicli which is well worth a visit or two. And despite being in the town the villa and its grounds are totally private. The hosts were lovely and very helpful.

Overall it was perfect for our large group, and we will definitely return to Sicily one day to explore a bit more.

Perfect family getaway near the sea

October 2025 - We stayed with three families and six kids, and it was amazing. The villa is really spacious and well equipped, plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax.

The garden is huge and felt like our own little oasis, great for the kids to run around and for us to chill. It’s close to a beautiful beach and lots of nice restaurants.

We visited in October, so things were a bit quieter, but that made it even more relaxing. There’s still loads to do within a short drive.

Would definitely recommend for families or groups looking for a comfortable, peaceful stay near the sea!

Wonderful stay

August 2025 - We had a wonderful stay. The location is fantastic - amazing coffee bar, fruit shop, wine shop and grocer within meters.

The house is very well appointed for a big group and the outdoor pool and entertaining area is great.

Amazing week in a beautiful house

July 2025 - Amazing week and an amazing house! Melina and Guillaume are wonderful hosts, so helpful and truly care about you as a guest.

We spent a week with our kids and grandchildren, the house and the garden is bigger than on the pictures and everything is very high standard. The garden gives a nice shadow for hot days but at the same time many sunny spots for sunbathing.

The beach is just 2 mins from the house and is very nice with crystal clear water. This is a house and an area you must experience!

Fantastic stay in Donnalucata villa

July 2025 - We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful villa in Donnalucata! Our group of 12, ranging in age from 7 to 75, felt completely at home. The villa is spacious, and perfect for a large family or group.

The garden is gorgeous — complete with a great pool, table tennis, plenty of sun loungers, and inviting outdoor seating areas that made relaxing effortless. Melina and her husband were incredible hosts — welcoming, helpful, and always available when needed.

They went above and beyond, helping us book a private chef, sharing excellent local recommendations, and even offering support when one of our family members had a minor injury. The location is fantastic — just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and a lovely beach.

We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to enjoy Sicily and make lasting memories. Highly recommended.

Great place for large groups

October 2024 - Great place, large and well fitted for the 15 people in our group, of which 8 adults.

The outdoor area is amazing and much larger than we first thought.

Easy access to the beach and all necessities in walking distance.

Amazing villa in Donnalucata, Sicily

June 2024 - Donnalucata is a hidden gem in Sicily and this villa is amazing! An absolutely beautiful large home with a fantastic sunny pool and sheltered, private huge garden with plenty of shade. Space to sleep 10. Everything needed to cook for 10 indoors or out. Lots of privacy.

Sandy beach with sheltered shallow blue waters only 100m away. A wonderful coffee and breakfast place just across the road. An unbelievably cheap local wine merchant next door. A well stocked small supermarket with hot and cold deli 2 doors away. A butcher across the road. A daily Fisherman's Market 200m away. A Gelateria 200m away… We can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic stay in Donnalucata villa

June 2024 - We were with nine people and a toddler in the villa and had a fantastic time. The property is very large and beautiful. The pool is great, there is a table tennis table, a large outdoor dining area with a second kitchen and barbecue.

The spacious rooms in the villa are authentic and very stylishly furnished and almost all have their own bathroom. It's only a five-minute walk to the long quiet sandy beach in Donnalucata. The place is a bit sleepy in May, but has a lot of charm.

Supermarket, pizzeria, and pharmacy are just around the corner. There is a small fish market on the beach. Melina is a great hostess. She is super friendly, always available, and takes care of everything immediately.

We were totally happy with the choice overall and would love to come back!
