Excellent

June 2011 - We were a family of 11 persons, age 1-62 coming from Iceland, Sweden and USA. Everyone enjoyed in every respect the stay at Villa Joela.

The villa, the town, the location, the climate were above our expectation and the contact with the owners gave us the highest feeling of well-being that we had hoped for. Always caring and close by.

Perfect.

The contact was good all the time, personal, professional and gave us the feeling of seriousness and solemn company. We found SiI by chance on the net.

Travel tips

  • Stay as long as you can.

April 2011 - Had a fabulous time, a fairly quiet location, but public transport runs often so easy to get to Sorrento if you want to shop, and more atmosphere.

Would highly recommend location for a peaceful holiday.

Travel tips

  • I would recommend having a car for supermarket shopping. Although there is a local supermarket, it only sells basic items. Eating out was ok, but we like to have meals in the villa and so we were quite limited.

September 2010 - Yes we enjoyed the villa, especially the outside space.

Travel tips

  • It was quite noisy as there was loud music in the square every night so don't expect too much peace and quiet. On the other hand it was a lively village with great shops, restaurants and bars without being touristy or rowdy.
  • Take everything you need as little is provided.
  • Consider a private transfer to and from the airport. Don't hire a car. Buses provide a great service.
  • A little Italian is useful outside Sorrento.

July 2010 - There was a party of eight from all age ranges. We had a fabulous time and the advantages from staying outside Sorrento were two fold. Firstly the heat is more geared for the elderly in that my uncle is 73 and my aunt was 68 and the cooler air was very welcome high up in the mountains. Secondly the village atmosphere was much less commercialised and friendly and inviting.

I broke my wrist on the second day and Sara [the owner] drove me to the hospital and stayed the entire time translating and giving support. She came to see me every day and showed such much concern and friendship. Our holiday would have been so much poorer without her. She is welcome to come here.

Travel tips

  • Make sure you have provisions for the first night.

June 2010 - Villa Joela is exactly as depicted on the Summer-In-Italy website.

The owner and your representatives were superb.

Difficulties starting air conditioning and with 1st floor bathroom were sorted speedily and efficiently.

Our whole party was extremely impressed with the accommodation, its location and privacy. It was well equipped and most comfortable and none of us would have any reservations in recommending it to any of our family or friends. My wife was so impressed with the design of Villa Joela that she made me photograph the inside and out for future reference!

Extremely impressed with every member of the team. Any questions were promptly answered in the most helpful and pleasant manner. I would have absolutely no hesitation in using and/or recommending Summer-In-Italy in the future. Many thanks for a wonderful experience.

Please pass on our compliments and thanks to the owners of Villa Joela.

Travel tips

  • Don't spend too much time running back and forth to Sorrento - Villa Joela and Sant'Agata give you a far more genuine experience of Italian life than the bustling and commercialized Sorrento. It offers a good choice of excellent local restaurants which provide a friendlier service and good value. Having said that, Positano is very much worth a visit...

Unfortunately, Villa Joela can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
