Fabolous villa, excellent location

October 2023 - FABULOUS VILLA - The location is excellent as we hardly had to use our vehicles as we were able to walk into town easily. The living areas are large, but cosy, impeccably and tastefully decorated. We are already planning a second visit to Villa Il Gioiello in the near future.

MENA our host could not do enough to welcome us, and to make our stay enjoyable. The dinner Mena arranged with Silvia our chef was excellent.

Summer In Italy was a great website to book Villa Il Gioiello, and thereafter immediately responsive with detailed accurate answers to the questions that we had prior to arrival.

Wonderful vacation home, perfect location

August 2023 - This was a wonderful vacation home for me and my family. We hated to leave. It didn’t have a view but we always were able to see the Mediterranean just a few steps away on our walks to and from Sorrento center.

The location was perfection, away from the noise but a short walk to restaurants and shopping.

Our host was wonderful. She helped us with many of our excursions.

October 2022 - We had a terrific 5 nights stay at Villa Il Gioiello. The villa was clean and additionally there was a cleaning person there every day.

From the villa, it was approximately a 15 mins walk to town, the train and the ferry.

The owner helped us with every part of our visit to Sorrento, for example restaurant suggestions and reservations, arranging transportation to see the Amalfi Coast, directions to the train to go to Pompeii. At our request, she also provided a delicious dinner at the house one evening for our group.

The entire staff of Summer In Italy were always professional and polite, they responded very quickly to any inquires we had as we were preparing for our trip.

Fantastic

September 2019 - Villa Il Gioiello had everything we could wish for. There was no view, but that was because it was in the town and therefore had a perfect location. It was extremely well equipped and nothing was too much trouble for the owner.

We found the staff of Summer In Italy extremely helpful.

July 2019 - Villa Il Gioiello is a beautifully kept, clean, spacious home.

The outdoor area was private and secure for children to play in and the pool was a definite bonus. Kitchen had mostly everything one could need, linen etc. was all of a very good standard.

Location was good but a little too far for children to comfortably walk to town. The road outside was fairly noisy (traffic) but bearable.

Friendly and helpful owner. Daily housekeeper was great.

May 2019 - It was a beautiful house and very comfortable. The position was great and we could walk to the city centre, ferries to Capri etc. Just perfect for a holiday in that region.

October 2018 - We were a group of 8 friends staying at Villa Il Gioiello and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The villa is beautifully appointed with LOTS of room for everyone. The terrace is very nice as well although the one drawback was the traffic noise which was actually quite amazing at all hours of the day -- this is the price you pay though for the excellent location that was just a short walk into town.

We would definitely use Summer in Italy again to plan a trip as the booking process was very easy, professional and quite helpful.

July 2018 - Nice property. Villa Il Gioiello is very well equipped and gives you a feeling of comfort and luxury. Situated on a walking distance to the city center make it convenient for those who like shopping and experience the local restaurants and night life.

The owner, Mena, and her daughters are absolutely delightful.

You can walk everywhere.

The ice maker works and what a nice bonus in Europe.

May 2017 - We loved our stay at Villa Il Gioiello. It was quiet and perfect for large families.

The location was in walking distance of the town square and it was a wonderful place to stay.
