We loved the villa!

June 2023 - It was a beautiful place. We felt that we were away from all of the crowds and noise. The rooms were clean, nice and everyone had their own room and bathroom!

The caretaker was super nice and kept in touch with us the entire time. He provided drivers for us several days. One evening he and his wife prepared fresh pizzas for us! All of these things were not free, of course, but he was so helpful to us and we would definitely recommend the villa to future travellers.

Travel tips

  • We did day trips to Pompeii, Isle of Capri, and the Amalfi Coast.
  • I was so glad that I had booked the trips and drivers prior to our stay.
  • Getting taxis was a problem at times because Italy was super crowded, and we were up on the mountain.

August 2022 - Wow, what a view totally Divine. The villa was a superb size for 8 of us. Swimming pool was lovely and immaculate. Brilliant location as we spent a day in Amalfi, Positano and Capri.

Every evening driving home adored our view. We did walk to Sorrento one evening ~ have to be super fit.

Thanks again for a magical week.

August 2022 - Beautiful, tranquil setting! Great outdoor space!

Trust Carmine[the caretaker], he's the king of Sorrento! Would recommend his pizza night, the best pizza we've ever eaten! He also organised many amazing trips for us, including beautiful wine tasting. All very reasonable price.

Good price!

Villa Giuliapina has the most breathtaking views of Sorrento, Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius

June 2022 - Villa Giuliapina has the most breathtaking views of Sorrento, Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. When we got out of our cab to see the view we literally all gasped.

The garden and patio were a great size and all 8 of us would have lunch and dinner together around the beautiful large table under the pergola. It was stunning. The villa itself is beautiful and spacious with the living room and bedrooms being particularly comfortable and well presented.

Carmine, who looked after us and managed the villa was wonderful and helped with anything we needed, he was always responsive, friendly and full of charisma. Carmine arranged for a dinner to be cooked for us at the villa by the most fantastic Filomena! This was the most delicious meal I have experienced and Filomena's energy and kindness made it all the more special.

Travel tips

  • We did walk down to Sorrento to do our shopping, while it takes 20 minutes to walk down the hill it will take a solid 40 minutes to walk back up and it is steep! If you are willing to take this on make sure you are fit and have sensible shoes! Other than that you will either need to get a taxi or rent a car to pick up your groceries.

The views are outstanding

August 2019 - Villa Giuliapina has plenty of room and the views are outstanding. Wonderful view of the Bay of Naples from the pool and patio. We had a wonderful time.

Summer In Italy were very helpful with my holiday requirements and also in booking Villa Giuliapina. If I holiday in Italy again I would definitely use them. Excellent Company.

Travel tips

  • Do not hire too large a car as the road to the villa is narrow in places.
  • Definitely take a private boat trip. The property manager of Villa Giuliapina organised a boat trip to Capri for our party which was one of the highlights of the trip.
  • The village of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi is a short car ride away and you can obtain shopping when you first arrive.
  • There is a large supermarket not far from Pompeii. There are also fairly large supermarkets in Sorrento. We found one which also had a car park.
  • The Foreigners Club in Sorrento is a nice place for lunch.
  • Mr Gregory Restaurant is also very nice and is reasonably priced.

June 2019 - We had a fantastic time. Peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. The road leading down to the villa was very steep and narrow but nothing more than you'd expect with the villa nestling into the mountainside.

We had hoped for a slightly longer pool. More of a plunge pool than a swimming pool. The villa was well equipped, beds comfortable and plenty of hot water, just not in the shower on the ground floor.

The website was really good and everything went according to plan.

Travel tips

  • Nowhere is within walking distance. A car is a necessity.
  • Stock up at the large supermarket as you leave the motorway from Naples. Make use of the freezer.
  • Pompeii is a must.
