- You need a car to go around in the whole Tuscany.

Travel tips
- If you want to relax and have the option of doing some of your own exploring the central location of San Baronto is an excellent choice.
- We rented a car in Florence, driving isn't a challenge. For the freedom to travel to the various walled cities in Tuscany and Chianti area you want your own transportation.
- Bring a GPS but having a map would be helpful.
- Pisa was a challenge to navigate.
- Don't forget your toll booth ticket on A11 or you could pay a big fine.
- Plenty of agri-tourism sites in the area if you want to take a cooking class.
- Lamporecchio at the base of the mountain has a grocery store for picking up necessities.
- We rented bikes for three days. Best ride if you're not used to hills, is down to Vinci and back 10 km each way: 15 min down, 35 min back up, or a loop down to Lamporecchio, across to Vinci and back up to San Baronto.

September 2012 - We had a wonderful stay at Villa Floriana C and the people there could not have been more helpful.
The unit was spacious, clean and well suited to our two week stay. I recommend this place highly.
We did day trips to many small towns in the area and had a memorable stay.
Summer in Italy did a great job and answered all my questions promptly. The website is fairly easy to use and I felt like I knew the property before we left home. I will recommend you to my friends.
Travel tips
- There is an ATM just up the street.
- A small grocery store just opened nearby and the two restaurants there both had good food and a holiday atmosphere.
- Bike riders love this area as it is hilly and the road has many sharp turns so be very careful driving here.

April 2012 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Baronto and Villa Floriana.
The local eating and drinking spots were great. The views were awesome and it was so easy to catch the bus to Pistoia where we caught trains to visit Pisa, Lucca etc.
Would suggest Villa Floriana to anyone.
Summer in Italy was recommended to me by a friend who had booked through you before and I was not disappointed. Our whole trip went so smoothly it was amazing. We will be back!
Travel tips
- Just remember 'siesta' time when shops are closed ie the local grocery shop.
- Everything you need is nearby.
- Buses are frequent and on time.

September 2011 - The Villa was clean, well furnished and of a high standard. The view from the balcony is amazing, and the sunsets will stay in my memory for a long time.
Everybody we met at the complex was friendly and helpful and were able to meet any needs we had without trouble.
Finally the location was perfect for visiting Tuscany, Siena, Florence, Lucca and Pisa were all within an hour drive.

- A hire car is essential for this villa and there is adequate parking on site.

August 2010 - We enjoyed our three week stay at Villa Floriana C. The apartment was very comfortable for the two of us.
The views, especially in the evenings, were spectacular. The balcony was impressive and very private in one area.
The accommodation within the residence was good - it gave the impression of having the convenience and welcome of a hotel, but was, of course, a discrete and independent apartment.
The website has been brilliant - easy to use and welcoming. We will definitely use it again and recommend to friends.
Travel tips
- Local shops within walking are open every day and stock everything including good wine. For a bigger supermarket you will need to go to Lamporecchio... or for restaurants, once you have been to the two local ones.
- There is a good local bar/cafe for morning colazione and evening beers.
- The location is on a steep mountainside, with more or less one road in and out - regular buses in and out - but we were glad we hired a car and Lucca, Pistoia, Vinci and Monsummano Terme were lovely places to visit.

July 2010 - Our stay there was wonderful! I have already recommended it to others.
The view was better than we could have ever imagined.
It was only loud with an occasional local party, such as the wedding reception next door. But who can complain about hearing That's Amore in such a lovely location with the full moon above!!
Travel tips
- Having a car was a great idea.
- We were able to shop at the coop in the town below. The prices were reasonable and the food was good.
- Vinci was a nice place to visit
- 10 mins away.
- Of course Florence was great as well.
- Just remember, life stands still from 1300-1600. That may not be a bad thing. Maybe life would slow down if we all did that in all countries.
- The townspeople were very nice. Recommend a hair cut from Francesca in her beauty shop. The price was low, and my son loved his cut.

October 2009 - We had the mos fantastic holiday, the pool and terrace are situated with great views, the village is so quaint yet has everything required if you don't want to travel.
The bed was huge and very pleasant.
The overall location is perfect for day trips to Pisa, Siena and Florence etc etc.
I have never stayed in a holiday apartment as clean as this was, the house keeper kept it immaculate.
Overall it was a fabulous holiday and I would highly recommend anyone to visit.

- Do some self catering shopping in a main city as supermarkets are few and far between in the area.
- Best tip - Go and stay there!!!!

- If you like nice and quiet location, near to big cities, with wonderful view and nature, that is where you should go.
- Near Floriana C you have everything you need: groceries store, coffee shop, restaurant, pizzeria...
- It is only 20 minutes away from Florence, and 5 minutes from Pistoia.
- Do not miss to visit city of Lucca. Definitely my favorite place :)

July 2008 - We really enjoyed during our stay in Tuscany, and in apartment in Villa Floriana.
Villa is very nice place, apartment too, the staff is more than friendly and nice, parking place can be a problem from time to time (if garage is fully occupied).
Swimming pool is excellent.
Position of Villa is beautiful. Problem can be a self catering because a very nearby market is more than 5 km away from Villa. Maybe there should be some more restaurants in San Baronto, because this few all are always fully occupied in the high season (recommend reserving a table). The sight on the valley is so beautiful. Villa is positioned in the higher altitude, and clime is very pleasant for the night rest - in spite of high temperatures during the day.
I have found "Summer in Italy" incidentally on the web, and realized that it is excellent web site for organization my family holidays in Italy. I was right. Thank you. With great pleasure I will recommend your web site to my friends. Hope to stay in touch for the next summer (somewhere in Italy). Keep on doing in this way.

- San Baronto is positioned on good place so the guests can take beautiful day trips to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Siena, Montecatini.
