Well kept apartment with beautiful view and swimming pool

September 2024 - Well kept apartment with beautiful view and swimming pool. We were alone so lots of privacy. Attentive lady of the local staff came to clean regularly.

Summer In Italy was very customer friendly. Easily accessible and always looking for a solution (we had problems with our credit card). We will do it again next year!!!

August 2010 - This was a stunning location, and a wonderful holiday for us as a family of four (kids 12 and 10 yrs).

Filippa A is a basic but comfortable apartment within a house made up of 5 such apartments. It was clean, tidy, well maintained. The patio leads out onto the nice pool and the views are absolutely stunning looking west towards sublime sunsets.

The immediate area is very pretty, classically Tuscan with olive groves, vineyards, and pretty villages. The villa is 350 m altitude up a very steep small road servicing about 30 houses, so is very quiet, and a 10-15 minute steep walk takes you into Porciano which is a pretty village with lovely church, shop / bar and some very old towers. Getting everywhere is a drive but it's through beautiful countryside and all the big places are within the hour (Pisa, Florence, Pistoia and our favourite, Lucca).

Restaurants are lovely, nearest being a half hours walk in the next village. We found the local pizzerias very friendly and reasonable, with food that we Brits try to replicate but just can't quite do it as well.

All told a very memorable holiday. Would recommend a shared pool as the kids made friends quickly and although from three different countries with no idea of each others language, played superbly with each other.

All communication with Summer In Italy has been excellent thank you. We would certainly use yourselves again for a holiday in Italy. We will look to come back in a few years time.
