Had a wonderful time

October 2019 - We stayed as a family of 5 (children aged 5, 9 and 12) at Villa Esposito in last October 2019, and had a wonderful time.

The villa met all our requirements, and we spent a couple of days purely hanging around the villa (sunbathing and reading by the pool, and walking the mile or so into Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi for ice-creams and other groceries), and on the other days we found Villa Esposito to be a great base to explore the Amalfi Coast.

Tina [the owner] was a wonderful and helpful host, and we would love to return another day.

Travel tips

  • Great local restaurant less than 200 m up the track, and Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi has all the basics.
  • Bring a (small!) car to get elsewhere.
  • Lots of wonderful excursions available to Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Pompeii etc.

We loved our stay at Villa Esposito!

July 2019 - We loved our stay at Villa Esposito! It is a beautiful house with a wonderful pool and rooftop terrace that has amazing panoramic views.

The owner was so nice and made us feel so comfortable and right at home. She gave us excellent tips on nearby restaurants and boat rentals that made our trip even more enjoyable.

I would highly recommend Villa Esposito! We are frequent travelers and we all felt that this was the best place we have ever stayed and can't wait to go back! We absolutely loved it!!

Summer In Italy was really great also. You were very prompt in answering our questions and gave us great advice on tour guides, thank you!

Travel tips

  • The farm restaurant within walking distance is fabulous!
  • It is a nice walk to the nearby town of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi to get groceries and walk around.
  • My family loved enjoying the house, the pool and views.
  • The owner is so helpful, we took her advice on everything!

Beautiful villa in a peaceful location

September 2018 - Beautiful villa in a peaceful location. The pool is wonderful and there are six patio areas with stunning views. It was a bonus having all rooms with an en-suite as we were staying there for a family wedding in Sorrento. It is about a 20 minute drive to Sorrento down winding roads with brilliant views. Ideal for a quiet base to go exploring but a car is essential. Would thoroughly recommend.

The owner lives next door and was lovely and very helpful. There is nothing that can be improved.

Summer In Italy was so easy to deal with and were helpful with any queries.

Travel tips

  • The owner arranged a private boat trip to Capri which was stunning.
  • There is a lovely restaurant two minutes walk from the villa with amazing food.
  • The nearest supermarket is about 5 minutes away by car.

Would definitely stay again

July 2018 - Extremely clean and well maintained property. Our whole family loved it and would definitely stay again.

Tina was an exceptional host and wonderful to deal with - we were extremely happy with our stay there.

Summer In Italy was great in terms of communication and everything worked well. Thank you!

Travel tips

  • It is a little out of town so if you don't have your own car you will need to hire a driver to get into town which can be provided.

Had a wonderful time

May 2018 - Three couples stayed together and had a wonderful time in early May, 2018. Weather was a bit colder than normal, but it did not deter us from having a great time. It was as though we were living the same lifestyle as the locals and that is exactly what we were after. We plan on coming to the Amalfi Coast area again in the future and would definitely consider staying in Villa Esposito again.

We took advantage of the wood-fired pizza oven. Tina [the owner] helped by supplying it with some of the things needed to do that.

We found out about Summer In Italy company via a web search and we were treated in an extremely professional manner from start to finish. We will no doubt examine your offerings the next time we come to Italy.

Travel tips

  • The farm restaurant next door was referred to by other reviews, but I think it was greatly understated as to how nice it was. The food was fantastic and the service tremendous. The owner, Luigi, provided us with the opportunity to allow him to plan our dinners on 2 occasions during the stay and we did not use the menù.

Beautiful villa

May 2017 - Very beautiful villa with all the comfort.

The owner is very welcoming.

I discovered the site Summer in Italy by making a search on Internet to rent a villa and I am very satisfied with this agency.

The photos of the villa correspond to the reality.

Travel tips

  • There are shops nearby.
  • Streets are rather narrow.
  • Pompeii, Positano, Sorrento, Reggia di Caserta are places which is necessary to visit.
  • The tour of the Capri Island by boat is fabulous.

July 2015 - We had a fantastic time! The villa is spotlessly clean. Will definitely be making another visit.

Tina and Marina [the owners] are really lovely and cannot do enough for you.

Summer In Italy were extremely helpful, especially as I wanted an 11 night duration which I know is quite difficult to get, but I gave my requirements and they came back to me with several options. Everything was very well organised and professional. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • There are so many good places to eat within walking distance, we hardy used the car.
  • Restaurant Il Fienile in Torca is about a 10 minute walk, also Fattoria Terranova next door is excellent.

May 2015 - Villa Esposito was perfect for our family.

The wonderful terraces and views and the surrounding area made our holiday just right. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The log fire was a bonus.

Marina and Tina [the owners] were the perfect hosts. They provided everything we asked for and more and were very friendly, making us feel more like family than paying guests.

Thank you for all your kindness and help.

Travel tips

  • I would recommend a small car.
  • The farmhouse restaurant next door was very good value for money and the food was excellent.

May 2015 - Villa Esposito is one of the most exciting places I have ever had the joy to rent.

All is more than perfect and it’s a good starting point to discover all the historic sites located in Campania and around Naples.

Thank you to Summer In Italy for the perfect support in planning and organizing this trip. As soon as possible I will be back to you as customer.

Travel tips

  • If you have the change, rent Villa Esposito :) you will never regret.
  • Make sure you don't miss a visit to the nearby Fattoria Terranova, very very good! Ok, Italian Cuisine is fantastic, but the food and wine you can have there are extraordinary, even for the high Italian standards. We spent there almost every night for our dinners and were absolutely happy.

June 2014 - Villa Esposito is beautiful.

It was better than the picture we had in our mind of a wonderful Italian villa. We felt that we had the true experience of living the Italian country life, albeit for only two weeks.

It is in a great location. Sant'Agata is an enjoyable town and people are great. We often ate in town and enjoyed wonderful meals at the Frattoria Terranova just a few doors down from the villa.

The owner of Villa Esposito, Tina, lives next door and was a wonderful help with directions, etc. In addition, however, she made us feel comfortable and was a joy to meet. Tina and her family were wonderful accommodating hosts.

Thank you Summer in Italy for all of your help with a wonderful holiday in Italy. You did a wonderful job.

Travel tips

  • A car is a necessity. We basically used it as a shuttle to take us to the SITA bus stop and back. We then took the bus to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast towns.
  • We also took the train and ferried from Sorrento to the island of Ischia where we stayed for one night. Ischia is gorgeous! We enjoyed a wonderful hike to Sorrento and took the bus back.
  • We also did the beautiful hike down to Crapola, swam and hiked back. That was wonderful.

September 2013 - Villa Esposito is quintessential Italy! The Villa is filled with Italian art and decor, and has been beautifully updated. All three bedrooms are ensuite and face the sea. So often in Italy, the bathrooms are smaller, but each of the bedrooms has a lovely spacious marble bathroom.

Marina and her Mom [the owner] made us a traditional lasagne dinner, and helped us with questions about the area. You can walk to the quaint village of Sant'Agata, and the lovely Farm House Restaurant is your next door neighbor.

The pool was beautiful and relaxing.

We definitely would rate Villa Esposito highly. The only thing we missed is using the pizza oven, and that is just because we ran out of time!

Summer in Italy was very professional in responding to our questions. I would recommend them highly.

Travel tips

  • Stay as long as you can!
  • We used a 9 passenger car to travel from Florence to Sant'Agata, but would do it differently if we went again. We would train to Naples, and take a taxi to Villa Esposito. On all of our excursions, we just hired a taxi to take us to Positano and Sorrento. The taxi is very affordable.
  • Marina [the owner] helped us arrange a private boat for a tour of Capri.

August 2011 - Villa Esposito provided superb accomodation for our stay on the Amalfi coast. Just far enough from the main tourist areas to provide the peace and quiet needed but close enough to drive to Sorrento or the Amalfi coast road within 20 mins. Gorgeous beaches are also within driving distance in the local area and the local town, a 5 min drive away provides all the supplies you may need for your stay.

The villa is simply gorgeous, with a beautifully kept garden and pool, the house itself is beautifully looked after and gave our party of 8 ample room for a fantastic stay in Sant'Agata.

Fantastic contact throughout our booking and stay, thanks for all the help with enquiries. Brilliant service.

July 2011 - Villa Esposito was great and the owner was constantly helpful and available when we needed her.

If we came to these parts would be happy to stay in Villa Esposito again and recommend to others.

The service and the process were excellent. If we came again we would be happy to use SiI again.

Travel tips

  • In our view the Isle of Capri was an expensive tourist trap and the trip to the top of Vesuvius was a disappointment, there was no parking and the locals/workers were very officious.
  • If you go to Pompeii, go by train from Sorrento.

June 2010 - Villa Esposito was absolutely beautiful! We had such a fabulous time and would highly recommend this villa to everyone! The view was breathtaking and made for fabulous sunsets by the pool.

The kitchen wasn't too well stocked but we made do. There could have been wider variety of glasses for use and ice trays were in shortage.

The owners/caretaker was incredibly helpful and friendly and welcomed us warmly.

The only thing is that we were under the impression of a cleaner coming (we paid 100 euros for the week) but no-one came the entire week?

Other than that it was a very pleasant stay and I'm sure we will be back to enjoy it again!

Thanks to all involved!

The service received was excellent and we thank all involved at Summer In Italy for making it so easy to access you and ask for information etc.

We will definitely be recommending your services to all we know.

Thanks for an opportunity to provide further information about the final cleaning fee. Some property owners require that a "final cleaning fee" be paid in cash locally, rather than being included in the cost of the rent. The fee, as its name implies, covers the cost of cleaning the house after the guests have left (not while they are staying there; this would be indicated as "maid service")-. The rationale for not including such a fee in the rental price is to give an incentive for guests booking for more than one week: in such cases the final cleaning fee is paid only once. There is some debate about whether it is better to have a rental rate that includes all costs or have a lower rental rate and some costs paid locally. Rates that include all costs are clearer and make comparisons easier; rates that have some costs paid locally may help keeping prices low. We prefer clear rates, and as such try to present a price that includes all costs whenever possible (also, our prices always include taxes). Even when this is not possible we list all local costs on the property description page, so that there are no surprises and the information presented is complete.

Travel tips

  • Have nerves of steel if hiring a car - the roads are very narrow and the drivers fast!
  • The restaurant next door (The Farmhouse) was INCREDIBLE! The food was amazing, the staff friendly and the decor beautiful!

Unfortunately, Villa Esposito can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
