September 2021 - It was wonderful and very calm. We were able to relax and enjoyed our stay very much. The pool was very nice.

The service offered at the location was very good and Carmela [the caretaker] very nice and supportive. Her English excellent which made it easier for us to communicate!

An ideal location to explore the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts

July 2019 - An ideal location to explore the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts. It is a beautiful complex, it's quite small so at times there was just our family and we had the swimming pool all to ourselves.

Our children thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool which is wonderful after a day of excursion, beach or day trip.

Carmela [the caretaker] sent us a message when we were still at Schiphol airport which made us feel really welcome before we even arrived.

Travel tips

  • The location is ideal, all amenities within walking distance from the property.
  • We ate at all the places mentioned in the reviews and they were all great.
  • For a day at the beach I would drive to Marina del Cantone. Close by, valet parking is available at a reasonable rate (as long as you rent sun loungers and have lunch at the beach bar).

June 2011 - Our stay was very relaxing and we loved the peace and quiet. The pool was lovely and would not have been crowded even if the property had been full.

Definitely a top chill-out holiday location.

The staff on-site were friendly and helpful even on the rare occasions where their English ran out and communication relied on my very limited Italian and sign language.

Travel tips

  • The access road is very narrow and needs to be driven with care, but that encouraged us to walk to Sant'Agata which was only a few minutes away.
  • The weather was not so good for the first few days and this meant our ground floor apartment was chilly at times. The upside being that when the weather improved, the apartment was never too hot.
  • Driving on the only main road (SS145) was tiring because of the traffic and parking, but the local bus services gave us a break.
  • Locally, the Central Bar was very friendly and excellent for light meals and snacks. In Sorrento, our favourite place was the Foreigner's Club.

August 2009 - I truly enjoyed my experience in Italy.

The Villa was clean and the staff were extremely helpful. We locked our keys in the Villa and within minutes someone was there letting us back in.

The location was beautiful and the views were breathtaking.

I would recommend this Villa to any of my friends.

Travel tips

  • I would suggest you listen to the advice of the nice young lady who works at the Villa. she suggested certain beaches over others and we found all of her suggestions right on key.
  • The local bakery was wonderful we went there early in the morning for our bread and breakfast.

July 2009 - We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Carissa.

The apartment is lovely and Sant'Agata is, or was for us, the perfect base to explore the surrounding area, i.e. Amalfi coast. Everything is really nearby: Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi... given that you have a car.

Unfortunately, Villa Carissa F can not be booked at this time.
