June 2019 - I really enjoyed our stay there, the view was amazing and all was well maintained for now. The only thing I think should be improved is the bed they are very hard.

Carmela [the caretaker] was fantastic, very helpful and answering quickly all the time and helpful. Same also for the nice cleaning lady.

I will recommend the property to my friends.

Travel tips

  • Restaurant Tonno and Campari recommended for view and drinks only.
  • Restaurant Il Cantuccio recommended.
  • Boat trip was very good, focused on visiting the coast and swim.

May 2014 - Absolutely fantastic.

Next time in Italy, next time we will chose Summer in Italy.

Everything fine, thanks.

Travel tips

  • Use a small car, because it's a small way to the apartment.

August 2013 - We had an excellent time. The pool was good. Location to the town perfect.

It was a really god holiday and the best to date in Italy. Thanks to Summer In Italy for keeping hassle to a minimum when we got there so we could really enjoy ourselves straight away.

October 2012 - Very clean and tidy, well kept. Nice and quiet location. Located in a lovely small town.

Cleaner very nice and did excellent job in keeping all areas spic and span.

Very well presented site and communication excellent. Would recommend to people looking at Italy for a holiday.

Travel tips

  • Obviously need a car.
  • Local supermarket nearby but seek out all the veg, butcher and bread shops first. Not obvious to find but all within a 10 min walk.

March 2011 - We thought Villa Carissa C was perfect if you're looking for a quiet spot.

We had a car and did day trips to Sorrento, Pompei, Amalfi coast and Capri. We were always glad to get back to our quiet town and villa.

There are some really good restaurants in town as well as a bakery, great gelato, a couple of grocery stores, everything you need.

July 2010 - Enjoyed Villa Carissa C very much. Stylish, clean, modern.

Excellent facilities in apartment, including shared (by two) laundry facilities.

Pool and surroundings maybe a little small, but again, location, location and location!

Travel tips

  • Bring only a small car. We drove a VW Golf and it just worked out in the narrow driveway to the villa.
  • Dinner at Don Alfonso is a great experience. Traditional with a twist at high level. Our 12 year old had a blast.
  • Rent a boat at the marina near Massa Lubrense and sail to Amalfi and back making breaks for a dive in the blue. The scenery is astonishingly beautiful.

June 2010 - My girlfriend and I are both in our 20s from London and absolutely LOVED our stay in the villa. We were both amazed how modern, bright and airy the rooms were. We had only seen the photos on the website and the reality exceeded expectations. The grounds are beautiful, the views absolutely amazing. Villa C is on the 2nd floor and has incredible views of the sea to the west and the bay of Naples to the east.

The town of Sant'Agata is small, but there are plenty of nice bars and restaurants for a weeks stay. There is a bus service from the centre of Sant'Agata (a 10 min walk from the villa) that goes into Sorrento and takes about 20 minutes. Bus tickets are cheap, about $1.40.

We would both highly recommend Villa Carissa and would definitely go back.

We were very pleased with the level of customer service we received from Summer in Italy and would definitely use them again.

Travel tips

  • If you hire a car get a small one and pay extra for the excess waiver! Driving can be hazardous down small and winding roads that dominate the region. We drove from Rome and on hindsight should have got a coach. The bus service from Sant'Agata runs every hour to Sorrento, or the other direction to Positano, and Amalfi. From Sorrento you can easily reach Pompeii and Vesuvius by train and get the ferry over to Capri. Bus tickets and train tickets are much cheaper than costs for parking. There really is no need for a car.
  • The closest supermarket to the Villa is maybe 10 mins walk away.

The directions and details of the accommodation were very accurate and useful.

Travel tips

  • Eating out: ignore the advice of the manger, her recommendation was full of English tourists! Look for a place with locals in it.
