May 2017 - Stayed here for our 20th. The views are absolutely amazing. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures. SO CLEAN! and spacious. I cannot say enough about this wonderful property. Book this now, you do not need to search any further.

Andrea and Valentina were amazing hosts.

Loved the experience.

  • Visit the fishing village.
  • Enjoy wine and the views from your balcony.
  • If you get a chance, Anna across the street from the gate is a wonderful lady who runs the ceramic shop and provides great advice.

Unforgettable views

May 2017 - You will never forget the view from the spacious balcony over the marina, along the coast and out to Mt. Vesuvius.

Staying for 5 nights of my 30 day vacation in Greece and Italy made this trip the best one ever.

It was a great feeling to know Summer in Italy would be there if the villa was not as portrayed, but it was exactly as shown online. This agency was perfect for my purposes.

Travel tips

  • There is an elevator near by, making the trip up to the villa from the ferry an easy one.
  • We joined other apartment holiday renters at the villa on an unforgettable boat ride with Andrea, the owner, around Capri and down to Positano.

May 2013 - LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE AMORE AMORE AMORE AMORE this place is amazing and in central location to everything in area and Amalfi coast. Great to be able to walk to grocery store or just strolling around. Close access to piazzas port or beach.

Will highly recommend Villa. Amazing views from terrace, so RELAXING to sit on and enjoy views. Cannot wait to go back, already miss my villa!

June 2012 - Location, Location, Location! We could not have been in a more beautiful, scenic place.

From our private terrace, we could see Mt. Vesuvius across the bay and overlook the marina immediately below. The sunsets were magnificent, especially with a glass of limoncello and a bowl of fresh strawberries.

The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed morning coffee on the terrace and even a few dinners at the terrace table.

Villa Azzurra E also has a swimming pool and large common terrace where we interacted with other guests.

It is such a unique and beautiful place and setting that tourists were taking pictures of it. Lastly, Andrea is an outstanding host (and boat driver) and made our visit just perfect.

Villa Azzurra E and Summer in Italy exceeded our expectations. It was just what we wanted and more. A beautiful place and a beautiful time.

Travel tips

  • The villa could be used for four very close people, with 2 sleeping on a fold out sofa. Just one bathroom, however.
  • We felt the villa was easy walking distance from the train station (day-pack and wheeled luggage).
  • There is a good grocery store on Corso Italia about half way to the train station.
  • Take the bus trip to Positano, sitting on the right side of the bus, and return by boat.
  • Pompeii is an easy train trip.
  • Pasteum is a more complicated day trip, but well worth it for the Greek temples.
  • Take Andrea's [the owner] trip to Capri: it's in the top 3 of things we did.
  • Save shopping for elsewhere, Sorrento is very touristy.
  • Walk to Marina Grande for dinner, Restaurant Delfino: fish were in the water earlier in the day, sit over the water.

August 2010 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Azzurra E. The private balcony was everything we had hoped for. The view has to be the best in Sorrento.

Andrea and his wife [the owners] are charming, helpful and he speaks English well.

The location is fantastic. It is at the heart of where everything happens in Sorrento. The port is close enough to walk to, plus all the shops, restaurants and bars are close by.

Dear Luca and all at Summer in Italy, we really appreciated the professional way in which you conduct your business. We felt at ease with the whole process. Your level of communication is a comfort to intrepid first time travellers to Southern Italy. Many thanks.

Travel tips

  • Be prepared to combat the mosquitoes and your stay will be terrific. The first thing we did was to walk to the supermarket in town and buy the electric plug in devices, citronella candles, mosquitoes coils and personal mosquitoes repellent wipes. That sounds like overkill, but it just meant we could sleep with the doors open, sit outside and have a glass of wine in the evening etc etc. It was worth the effort! No bites.
  • Other than that, just bring your holiday clothes and start having fun!

July 2008 - The villa was outstanding in the areas that we cared most about - location (heart of Sorrento overlooking the bay), view (spectacular), and a private terrace overlooking the water.

In addition, there was a shared deck with a nice swimming pool.

The owner is very helpful with tips on sightseeing and dining options and takes a real interest in ensuring that his guests enjoy their visit.

Great job in setting the right expectations for a trip to Italy. We'd gladly use your site again.

Travel tips

  • Renting a car really isn't necessary. Summerinitaly.com provides referrals on a car service from Naples airport, plus there are bus and train options.
  • Hydrofoils leave from the port just below the villa for Capri, Positano, Naples and other places.
  • The train station (for trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius) is a few blocks away.
  • There's also a large supermarket in town for kitchen and other provisions for the villa.

July 2007 - Our family loved the pool and the view was unbeatable.

We enjoyed all our breakfasts and many other meals on the terrace looking out at the bay of Napoli.

We did not use our car the entire week -- you can walk, take the train or boat to wherever you need to go.

Travel tips

  • Take a boat ride to Capri and Amalfi in a smaller boat (25').

Unfortunately, Villa Azzurra E can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
