Enjoyed the peace, the quiet and the view!

July 2021 - We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the view. The pool area was lovely and inviting.

Since we visited in the summer, it was not an issue, but there is no real indoor sitting area/living room/dining room. There is a table with two chairs in the small kitchen, but should one need to spend a bit more time inside, i.e. a rainy day in the spring or fall, the options are limited. Also the work area in the kitchen is quite small and the kitchen outfitted with just minimal cooking utensils.

The drive up to the property is quite rough, the last stretch unpaved. We managed in our Fiat Spider.

Travel tips

  • We have been vacationing in this general area for years. There are so many things to do, too many to mention.
  • One tip though (we just found this out this year): do take the train, i.e. to visit Florence. The train system is fabulous: easy to book tickets, reasonably priced, clean...
