Nice atmosphere

September 2020 - We enjoyed the nice atmosphere of the house. Also, the environment, the garden and the pool were excellent.

Quick and easy service, everything was ok with Summer In Italy.

Travel tips

  • Day trip to Florence is easy to do - we went there by train from Empoli.
  • Day trip to the beach/sea is nice as well, one our drive from Montelupo Fiorentino.

The view is absolutely awesome

September 2016 - 4 of us (2 couples) enjoyed a 2 weeks stay at Sotto Colle Cottage. The view is absolutely awesome both from the patio and the pool which is also very nice, a little cold but great. Would highly recommend.

We were welcomed by Francesca [the owner], given a nice welcome basket of fruit and a bottle of wine.

We have booked with Summer In Italy before and hope to do again. Their service is excellent.

Travel tips

  • You do need a vehicle to stay here, lots of beautiful scenery driving around the Tuscan countryside.
  • Very easy to get to Pieza, Siena, Chianti region and many interesting towns and villages for day trips.
  • The villa is only a short drive to Montelupo where there is good shopping for groceries and nice restaurants.
  • Empoli only a few kilometers further, nice town and the train can be caught there. We took a day trip to Florence, 30 minute run great train and 10 Euro return, very frequent service.
