Wonderful stay for large families

July 2025 - We had invited the family of 14 people from three generations for a week's stay from July 12-19, 2025. All our expectations were met including our two biggest expectations of a large swimming pool and outdoor tables arranged for communal meals.

Each of the large rooms had its own toilet and bath, and there were many rooms for communal activities. 5 minutes' drive to Bucine with plenty of shopping and restaurants.

Fantastic for larger gatherings where one appreciates enjoying each other in peaceful surroundings. Can absolutely be recommended.

Great location and beautiful pool

May 2025 - Very nice stay in this house, really great location, a place full of history and Italian comfort!! The spaces are really nice! And a beautiful pool.

Great location for a birthday

October 2024 - Rented this villa for my 40th birthday and it was a great location to have all of my friends and family.

The surrounding area is stunning and can easily access so many of the other local towns!

Great place for a large group

August 2024 - A great place for 10 or more people in the heart of Tuscany. We were there for a 40th birthday celebration, and would certainly recommend it for a week or 2.

Pool area is amazing and the courtyard with large dining table was ideal each evening (still warm at midnight in August). The house is a great slice of Tuscan history with lovely old features, and fitting furniture.

This also means a few old building „quirks“. Kitchen well equipped (although perhaps an investment in sharp kitchen knives would be welcome). Internet a bit dodgy, but not surprising considering the size of the house.

Claudia [the owner] was an incredible host and very fast in reacting to all questions and requests (which was a lot considering there was 14 of us). Any issues/requests we had were solved on the day.

All in all a wonderful stay. Thanks Claudia, and thanks Tuscany!

Excellent

August 2024 - We stayed at Palazzo Vanneschi, Bucine, near Arezzo, for a fortnight and have been back nearly a week. We just wanted to to e-mail to say how satisfied we were with everything provided by Summer in Italy and the wonderful accommodation.

Before we travelled, everything went like clockwork. Payments were taken and information received as promised. We had really useful information about the premises, the locality and clear directions.

None of that prepared us, though, for the quality of the villa. To be honest, we were sceptical of the advertising which always puts a positive spin on things. It sounded too good to be true. But it turned out even better than it sounded! Our stay was made all the more pleasant by the kindness and attention of the owner and the caretaker - nothing was too much trouble.

We will certainly recommend Summer In Italy to anyone and hope we can take advantage of your excellent service again.

Amazing wedding experience

July 2024 - Claudia was an amazing host. We held our wedding here and had an amazing experience. I was worried it would feel like a set formula as there are many weddings here but Claudia and her friend helped us to make it feel unique and like our very special day. As she works with the vendors regularly they knew the best ways to set up to make the most of the space and were on hand to sort everything on the day so I only had to worry about getting my hair and makeup done!

We have young children and our family and friends were of all ages, we loved being together, playing and relaxing at the pool, eating together. There was enough space without feeling crammed in and the house was cool in the warm weather (July). Not much nearby for children but we didn’t need it; the pool entertained them and the local ice cream and pizza shops!

Claudia responded so quickly to our requests throughout the planning and during our visit. Thank you for our special stay!

Great family vacation in Tuscany

July 2024 - We were a large family (19 people) that met up in Tuscany in the villa for summer vacation which was great!

The information from Claudia [the owner] before hand was very informative and helpful. And even during our stay, when issues or questions Claudia was great.

The villa is beautiful with a true Italian style. The highlight of our stay was the private pool. 🌟 and dinners outside the house!

Fantastic house for large family

August 2023 - The house was fantastic and met our needs very well - we were a large family group of 13 people spanning 3 generations. The pool is amazing, kids and adults loved it. We enjoyed being together and the layout, dining, pool chairs etc were plentiful for a large group.

The house also offered lots of rooms and quiet areas so we didn't feel we were on top of each other too. Kids liked the pool best of all, and the table tennis table.

Claudia was extremely helpful throughout, very responsive and helped me out when I left something important behind. Sorry Claudia.
