If you would like to live like a local, then Casa Titina is an ideal place for you to stay

September 2023 - If you are planning a vacation to Positano and would like to live like a local, then Casa Titina is an ideal place for you to stay.

Aside from the spectacular views of the Positano coastline from the terrace which is ideal for your morning coffee or late afternoon pre-dinner cocktails, the home itself is a real gem in that it is tastefully decorated with a local Italian flair. The home was spotless upon arrival and everything worked exactly as it should.

One key benefit to Casa Titina which is not always mentioned is its location. It sits on a main road within steps of a convenience store (that sells fresh fruit, vegetables, wine, beer, salami and cheeses), café/bar, butcher, and bus stop (Chiesa Nuova). Don’t underestimate the importance of staying at a home located on a main road close to a bus stop in Positano versus somewhere in between two roads where you must walk up or down hundreds of steps (at times with suitcases and bags) to reach your temporary home.

The homeowner, Michele is an exceptional host who is literally at your every beck and call to address any questions you might have about anything to do with the house, Positano, or surrounding areas. Upon arrival, Michele spent about 1 hour with us to show us where everything was located and how everything works (AC, TV, Washer, coffee maker, stove, etc.). Michele also provided us with a very good lay-of-the-land and how to efficiently navigate your way through Positano and other locales along the Amalfi coastline. Michele’s advice was spot on and he helped us to truly experience Positano from a local’s perspective rather than as an aimless tourist.

We absolutely loved it

September 2023 - We absolutely loved it and Michele (owner) was nearby and very helpful! The home is located on the main road so you don't have to haul your luggage up and down steps like so many others had to AND it's very nearby the local bus so getting down to the sea was pretty easy. Views are incredible and furnishings were comfortable.

Communication with Summer In Italy was great and they were very helpful. I would use them again in the future.

Travel tips

  • Take advantage of the local bus. The stop is only about 50 meters away.

Spacious, immaculately clean and very well equipped apartment with a magnificent view

September 2023 - We loved our stay at this beautiful apartment. Spacious, immaculately clean and very well equipped with everything you could want. We used the terrace a lot as the view is magnificent. It was a great place for breakfast or aperitivo.

The location at the top of the hill made it easy for transport and of course meant that we had a lovely view. Would definitely stay here again.

Communication with the host was first rate and he was super helpful and friendly.

Travel tips

  • There are several small shops nearby selling groceries and drinks.
  • The pizza restaurant up the road will also do take away if you feel like a night in.

What a beautiful location and a fantastic "home away from home"

September 2023 - We loved Casa Titina. What a beautiful location and a fantastic "home away from home". Did not want to leave.

We could have stayed for a month and been ever so content with this home. Beautiful views, everything you need in a home, great proximity to bus stop, grocery store, etc.

I would like Mr. Michele [the owner] to know that we think his property is absolutely the best we have ever been lucky to spend time in Italy. He and his wife know everything about making travelers comfortable and being available to help when there are questions. He was an absolute delight. His home is so clean, smells so good and is fabulous. We wish we were his children so we could come stay for extended periods of time. Our daughter, Desirae, was in contact with him on a daily basis for recommendations for places to dine, questions and just his insight on the Amalfi Coast. He was quick to respond and ever so generously helpful. We loved staying in their home. What a warm welcome from a wonderful man!!!!

Summer In Italy was our first time. We felt like everyone was wonderful reaching out to us and getting back to us. We will definitely do Summer In Italy again. Wonderful recommendations about drivers (we loved our drivers, provided through Amalfi Coast Transfers), your helpful responses, and your tips on the area, etc. Thank you, thank you.

Travel tips

  • Hire a driver to acclimate you with the Amalfi Coast upon your arrival.
  • We spent the day with a driver who took us from Naples to Vietri sul Mare (ahhhh... Magnificent!) and we worked our way back to Positano. It took all day, stops in many beautiful towns (Cetara, Scala, Ravello), lunch in Ravello and then our final destination in Positano. Our driver was fantastic and so accommodating.
  • Loved the boat ride to Amalfi town and to Capri.
  • Our day in Sorrento was heaven. Also enjoyed our day in Praiano.
  • Great trip on the Amalfi Coast. So much to see and do. And of course there is Positano... What more can I say?

We loved it!

July 2023 - What a view!! While in Italy we stayed in 5 towns... All really nice homes, but none with a more beautiful view than this Positano gem. AC worked very well and the kitchen was loaded with goodies. It’s located right next to great restaurants, number of markets and the stairs down to the beach.

The owner was easy to reach and easy to deal with.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it!

The perfect place in Positano

June 2023 - This was the perfect place to stay in Positano. We enjoyed being near Bar Internazionale and the local market, with easy access down to the beaches and restaurants.

The property is beautifully maintained, and the owner was very helpful and caring.

We have only had good experiences with Summer in Italy, on six trips.

Travel tips

  • My wife and I think this location is great, because it is easy to link up with transportation and easy to get to anything in Positano.
  • We always do a day trip wine tour and kayaking when visiting.
  • We took a day trip to Capri, which is a beautiful way to spend the day.

My family and I absolutely LOVED Casa Titina! The location was excellent

May 2023 - My family and I absolutely LOVED Casa Titina! The location was excellent.

We saw many people having to carry luggage up and down steps but at Casa Titina you are able to unload your luggage at the front door. This is a HUGE luxury in Positano.

The home was spacious and had everything we needed. The terrace was our favorite spot as it was large and had the most amazing sea views! Hope we can return some day and stay even longer.

Our host made sure we knew where everything was and answered any questions we had about the area. There is truly nothing I can think of that would improve the property. We loved everything about it.

I found Summer In Italy online and was able to find the perfect property for our stay. I would highly recommend Summer In Italy to anyone as every thing went smoothly from start to finish.

Travel tips

  • There is a small super market across the street and a good restaurant within a minute walk. We got take out and from there and ate our dinner on our patio.
  • We hiked the Path of the Gods and also did a day trip to Capri.
  • Everything about our stay was fantastic!

Better than the pictures!

May 2023 - I stayed here with my two daughters for six nights (mother/daughter trip). The apartment was more amazing than the pictures show online.

We used the kitchen to cook breakfast, lunch and a few dinners. The balcony was such an amazing place to have our morning coffee and meals. The view was stunning and we loved every moment we spent at our Positano home.

Michele [the owner] was an amazing host and helped us make dinner reservations and anything else we needed.

Summer in Italy was a great site to book our accommodation through. I will use it again and recommend to friends traveling to Italy.

Travel tips

  • We were so grateful that there was a little grocery store right across the street. We would stop there most days and get our milk, eggs, bread, fruit, veggies, snacks and WINE!
  • The apartment was away from the centre of town which we appreciated as it was very quiete. We walked to town and the beach daily and appreciated the distance to wear off our daily pizza! There an option to take the bus but we never did.
  • The Trattoria next door was amazing, as were the other restaurants that Michele recommended.
  • We did day trips by bus to Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento, and hiked The Path of Gods. All amazing!

We had a fantastic time

September 2022 - We had a fantastic time and couldn't believe our luck with our choice of house and town.

Your service was excellent and very friendly.

Travel tips

  • Use the SITA bus to get around, very busy but excellent value and lets you live like the locals.
  • The local grocers and butcher were excellent.

June 2022 - We loved Casa Titina! Although it was on the main road and a little noisy when sitting on the terrace, the view and convenient location made up for it.

Also, the interior was perfect - well stocked kitchen with breakfast treats - comfortable living room with some English channels on the tv, and a comfortable queen bed!

I loved your website that showed all the accommodations on a chart with the details - particularly the number of steps. VERY important in Positano, even for the younger set. Descriptions very accurate. Also, the staff was very patient with my questions via email and the final information sent with our rental voucher was helpful. We had a dream vacation. Thank you!!

Travel tips

  • The house is a 10 minute ride by bus to town and the town beach. Buy tickets for the local bus at the tobacco shop a few minutes away. Bus stop right in front. You can also buy tickets to take you to other villages on the SITA bus.
  • The butcher, fish market, fruit stand and small grocery shop are all a 2 minute walk. We even walked a few minutes to a restaurant.
  • Fornillo Beach is either 400 steps to the beach or a ride into town and then a walk down to the town beach and then a 10 minute stroll on a waterfront walkway with spectacular views. Fornillo is smaller but less busy.

Great house, wonderful view!

October 2019 - Casa Titina is a great house with wonderful view! On street level with a couple of little markets just around the corner.

The owner of the house was always very thoughtful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the service Summer In Italy provided. The instructions we received were very detailed and helped us a lot to prepare for the trip. Also very nice to have cell phone numbers available to call in case there was any problem with the house.

Travel tips

  • From Positano, take ferry to visit Amalfi. From Amalfi, take "hop on" red bus to visit Ravello. Both towns are very nice.
  • The two little markets around the corner of Casa Titina have everything you need: wine, beer, breakfast stuff, fruits, vegetables, etc...
  • Walk down to the main area of the town and take bus back up.

September 2019 - Casa Titina was perfect! Very clean and comfortable with a spectacular view! Very close to everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again!

Casa Titina is absolutely amazing and the owner was extremely helpful in providing excellent advice regarding what to do and was always very pleasant! Couldn't ask for better!

I booked with Summer In Italy because had booked through them a couple of years ago. The agency is very helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely use Summer In Italy again.

Travel tips

  • Definitely need to go to the following restaurants: Restaurant C'era una volta (a one minute walk from Casa Titina), Restaurant Da Costantino (they provide free shuttle service to and from the restaurant). A definite must is to walk the stairs to the Main Beach -- you can also take 5 minute bus ride if you prefer not to walk. All in all, it was fantastic!

We hope to return for our anniversay.

Travel tips

Very good

July 2019 - Casa Titina is a lovely apartment owned by lovely people. Away from the centre of Positano which avoids the hustle and bustle but the centre is easy to reach via local bus. It is close to a busy road but this did not bother us.

The owners recommended several things to do/ where to eat and all suggestions were good ones! Fiorella and Michele are great hosts and very helpful! Keep up the good work!

Would we return? Yes! But when it is cooler and not peak season.

Travel tips

  • The apartment is near to the bus stops and, therefore, ideal for day trips to explore the beautiful Amalfi Coast areas, Sorrento, Naples, Ravello, Herculaneum, Pompeii etc.
  • Good local shops on the doorstep.
  • The local area has excellent restaurants - better quality and value than most restaurants in the centre!
  • Fiorella and Michele, the owners, will make suggestions for restaurants. Even though they may be family/ friend's restaurants I would advise using them.
  • Trattoria is only a couple of yards away from the apartment.

October 2018 - We loved staying at Casa Titina!

The place was lovely - better than the pictures. Nice kitchen and very comfortable large bedroom. The bathroom had a great shower. The view was fabulous! The location was great - very close to buses and great restaurants. It is right on the main road so there was a little traffic noise but we hardly noticed it.

The owners were so nice and helpful.

Everything was wonderful, so nice that I didn't want to leave! We loved staying here and highly recommend it!

Travel tips

  • Eat at the restaurant almost next door, Restaurant C'era una volta.

September 2018 - We spent one week at Casa Titina and had a fabulous time.

We had many meals on the beautiful terrace and loved the gorgeous view of the bay. The home was supplied with so many items that we had not planned on. Coffee, tea, sugar were at our fingertips and really saved. Although the apartment was located on a very busy street we never really noticed the noise. Both Michele and Fiorella [the owners] were incredibly gracious and hospitable.

I have recommended this beautiful apartment to friends.

My son is the travel agent that booked our experience at Casa Titina. Summer In Italy made our visit so easy, thank you for your professionalism!

Travel tips

  • We loved Postiano and my only suggestion would be to spend even more time there.
  • We walked to the nearby towns but also took advantage of local bus.
  • Shopping in Positano was typical tourist, but that didn't stop us. We loved the Limoncello store and brought back lots of gifts.
  • Be sure to take a day trip to Capri and Amalfi.
  • We also had taken the time to visit Sorrento, it looked amazing.
  • Our last night we had a great meal just a few doors up from Casa Titina.

September 2018 - Casa Titina was perfect in every way.

A beautiful and authentic Italian house perched up above the picturesque town of Positano.

The house has a terrace that is hard to leave and is conveniently located near the bus stop.

It really was a home away from home.

Keep up the good work! It was an amazing stay.

Travel tips

  • There's a great fish shop just up the road, 300 meters away. Get there early for amazing seafood. It's where the best restaurants shop too!

September 2014 - We loved Casa Titina... The house is so clean, the bed is very comfy and the whole time we spent there was fabulous... In the home there is everything one could need and the owners will ask you to treat the house as your own home... It's very cozy and the view is amazing!! We spent all our time on the balcony just watching the world go by...

The owners are a fabulous couple very friendly, kind and helpful. They are really lovely and generous people who make guests feel very welcome in their wonderful home full of charming things!!

We had a fabulous time in Positano and Casa Titina was just what we wanted... It is the perfect spot to see and hear all that goes on in the town!! We would certainly go back to Casa Titina...

Travel tips

  • Positano is a fantastic place and everyone is so nice...
  • If you intend to cook, as we did, go shopping in the local food shops. We really enjoyed going to the little fruit&veg shop on the right hand side as you go down the hill on the same side as the house... The lady is really friendly and so is also the young boy who serves... She stocks all sorts of stuff and is much cheaper than the shop across the road next to the bar...
  • Most shops shut between 12&4 so you have to shop in the morning.
  • There is a fresh fish shop behind the house, just up the hill on on left... They sell wonderful fish and the mussels are so tasty and 1 kg for 3 euros!!
  • We tried the pizza takeaway next to the bar, it was fabulous and very cheap. All made for you while you wait...
  • If use a long stay car parking make sure you go around your car WITH the guy who comes to collect it. We had our wing mirror broke and found that the company who we dealt with had already ticked the box to say that they were both broken!!! We drove all over Italy and we knew they weren't damaged. It seems they covered themselves just in case. We are still in talks with them about this. Check your receipt, we didn't and, as our mirror got broken, there was nothing we could do as they said it was done when we arrived...
