Stunningly beautiful property!

July 2019 - The absolute perfect location, away from the chaos in the lower area! Stunningly beautiful property!

We booked with Summer In Italy because of the property choices. All correspondence was easy and smooth. I was especially thankful that Summer In Italy made it easy for us to split up the payments online (more than the usual two payments). I was also happy that Summer In Italy was able to call our host when we arrived because we were having difficulty reaching her on directly by phone.

We loved Casa Passalacqua

August 2018 - This was our first stay at Positano , myself, husband and 14 yr old daughter and hope not the last! We loved this Villa with the amazing views and even a little fish pond on our terrace.

The owner, Ms Donatella was very nice and helpful in everything even arranged a dinner reservation for us with a shuttle service. After a long trip a bottle of prosecco was a nice gesture!

The villa has your typical Italian charm very well located to the main road. Very well equipped and furnished with all the necessities.

Overall to us was the best choice . We loved it here and felt super safe too. Hope we have a chance to return again.

Thanks to Summer In Italy you for your prompt responses. We had a very positive experience with your company. I was overwhelmed how much choices there are on the internet, since we planned this vacation on our own without a travel agent. We took our chances and you did not disappoint.

Travel tips

  • Food shopping is great.
  • Day trips are very easy to arrange our location was great because of the bus stop.
  • We rented a boat with a skipper for a day it was fantastic, I highly recommended it! Visited Capri and the surrounding coastline We wanted to see the famous Green grotto but the lineup was four hours long. Our skipper took us to other caves and it was just beautiful, swimming and lunch in the nearby restaurant.
  • We visited beautiful Amalfi and Pompei as well. We had taken a guided tour there, for me the only way to go! Nice to know what you looking at with the knowledge of a guide.

Casa Passalacqua is breathtaking!

June 2018 - Casa Passalacqua is breathtaking! I literally teared up when I walked in and then out onto the terrace. Beautifully appointed, private, quiet, spotless and unbelievable view of Positano and the Tyrrhenian Sea! There are 2 very, very large bedrooms, each with their own full bath and a view of the sea. Living room and dining room also look out onto the sea with a full kitchen of all glass windows and beautiful tile. The covered patio is where we spent all of our time. It is huge with a small pond, lounge chairs, a lovely table, herb garden, and flowers everywhere. Truly, truly breathtaking. We did not want to leave. I can't say enough about Casa Passalacqua. My family and I will definitely be back and would never stay anywhere else in Positano!

The owner, Donatella, is lovely and helpful in every way.

Summer In Italy was spot on from the minute I booked our trip. Their response time is excellent, and they did not fail us on anything! I used Summer In Italy for booking Casa Passalacqua and they also suggested private drivers from Rome to Positano and from Positano to Naples (drivers were punctual, professional, all drove Mercedes clean SUVs, we communicated while in Italy on What's App? and if I had any needs, Mena would respond instantly and arrange a service for us), and a tour in Rome of the Colosseum. They are trustworthy, resourceful and very friendly. I give Summer In Italy 5 STARS and will definitely book with them in the future.

Travel tips

  • There is a local coffee shop/bakery just up the street as well as a small local grocery store with friendly owners and great food.
  • The lower part of Positano is within walking distance and is easy going down with easy bus service if you don't want to walk back up to Casa Passalacqua.
  • Figuring out which steps to walk down was our greatest challenge! When you walk out of Casa Passalacqua, turn right and at the bottom of the street just a few feet away, are the steps. Or follow the road, everyone walks it, and you will pass 100's of shops and end up in the pedestrian area.
  • There are 2 beaches in town. A huge touristy one right in town called Spiaggia Grande and a smaller more quiet one with great restaurants right around the corner (5 min walk no steps) called Fornillo Beach. We went there every time. You can rent chairs and umbrella 10 euro each and eat at Restaurant Da Ferdinando right there on the beach!!
  • We are foodies and chose our restaurants carefully. None disappointed in any way!!! A few of our favorites were: 1. Casa Mele, 2. Da Vincenzo, 3. Buca di Bacco and 4. Da Ferdinando.
  • Positano is an amazing place to visit. Walk and explore... and be sure to have comfortable shoes!

Absolutely gorgeous

May 2018 - We loved everthing about this villa from the minute we entered through the front door. This villa is absolutely gorgeous, from the layout to the finishings, and of course the outstanding terrace over looking the ocean and mountains.

The villa is exactly as represented in the pictures. Modern and new finishings and furnishings throughout the villa. We stayed for close to a week, would have loved to stay back for several more days!

Its not directly on the street, so very quiet all day and night. We spent a lot of time on the terrace just enjoying the view.

There are a lot of steps in Positano, but this was part of the fun and charm finding our way through all the back streets and hidden staircases.. only to turn the corner and find yet another amazing view of the ocean!

I would highly recommend booking Casa Passalacqua.

Summer In Italy were very helpful from the minute we started communicating. The villa booking and payment was quick and seamless from start to finish. They provided us with a number of links and documentation to help get the most of our stay, from transfers to local tours. I would highly recommend booking through Summer in Italy. I am always concerned about getting scammed when booking online, so its very comforting when you working through a well known and professional organization like Summer in Italy.

Travel tips

  • Getting here is not the easiest thing. We landed in Rome from Toronto... jumped on the train to the main station (Termini), and then onto a high speed train to Naples. We booked a private car to pick us up there and transport to Positano. Take my advice and book Good Hearts... Frank the owner picked us up and gave us all the history of the area, tips and tricks, what to do and what to skip... and you get to see half the Amalfi Coast from the comfort of a Mercedes... hard to beat that!
  • For the villa - everything you need is located 100 feet up the street - grocery store, tobacco store, and coffee/pastry for the morning. There are a handful of very good restaurants down a few steps on the street nearby, we tried most of them and had a great experience and food every time. The pizza here is some of the best we’ve had in italy - freshest ingredients and all grown in volcanic soil... just amazing. I can’t say enough about the food in Positano. Most people only experience the food in the typical hot spots (Rome, Venice, etc)... the food here is in a league of its own. The pasta and sauces, pizza, bread are absolutely amazing. The prices are higher than what you’d pay elsewhere, but the quality and taste, and of course amazing views are well worth it.
  • Aside from just wandering around the village, we hopped on the ferry to Amalfi and took the SITA bus to Ravello... a must see. On the way back, take the SITA bus to Bomerano and walk the path of the gods... absolutely spectacular (not for the weak hearted... its a long ways down!).
  • We booked a semi private boat tour to Capri... this is the best way to see all the grottoes and other sites on the Amalfi Coast and around the island of Capri. We booked with Cassiopeia, our guide Antonio was excellent - book a few weeks in advance as they are very popular and fill up quickly. Capri itself was just ok - many high end shops with snooty travellers... not our cup of tea. Next time I would hop in a taxi and spend the afternoon in Anacapri.

Loved it!

May 2018 - Loved it! Very beautiful and the owner was fabulous. The best stop on our trip the owner was very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and any thing at all we needed.

All was perfect with Summer In Italy and the place was exactly like the pictures.

Travel tips

  • We loved the family’ style restaurant at the top of the mountain. The owners called and had their shuttle pick us up, when we arrived you would have thought we were family... We ate for three hours, had a six course meal and it was very reasonably priced. They grow everything they serve.

Casa Passalacqua was the greatest pleasure

April 2018 - It was an immense pleasure to stay at the Casa Passalacqua. It was obvious that the owner had made a considerable effort to make our stay comfortable: the kitchen was well equipped with ground mocha, coffee machines (Italian and American), very good quality wine glasses and coffee cups. An orange juicer, etc. Felt like home.

The terrace has a running fountain and spectacular views. Even a herb garden and lemon tree.

Beds very very comfortable. No baths but adequate showers.

The location is perfect. Right by the Bar Internazionale. So right by the Positano Internal bus stop and no steps to get from the road to the property.

There are no doors on the two double bedrooms so visitors might need to consider this but there are blackout curtains.

We also found Sky TV and could access amazon prime and Netflix via our own logins so this was good for a night of watching a film.

The owner let us know about taking the boat to Amalfi and not a taxi which turned out to be excellent advice.

Travel tips

  • The flat is about 20 meters to the Positano Internal bus which goes about every half hour if you want to avoid the steps. Just up the road on the same side as the villa.
  • Take the boat to Amalfi and avoid costs of taxis which are quite expensive.
  • Take the tour bus for 5 euro in Amalfi to avoid the crowded Sita bus to Ravello.
  • The steps aren’t on many if any maps but can be great exercise.
  • The flat has two bathrobes and a great hair drier.
  • Three pronged plugs are necessary.
