June 2011 - It was our first holiday at Lake Como and it was truly fantastic. Casa Panorama Tre was excellent in every way. We had 3 main criteria when making a booking - walking distance to the nearest village, a swimming pool and an uninterrupted view of the lake. The Casa Panorama Tre gave us this to the highest degree.

The place was kept so impeccably clean and so pretty. We had a delicious buffet breakfast with home-made pastry served in a beautiful decorated cellar. The staff were so friendly and helpful every request we had they gave us over and above a 5 star service.

We so hope to return soon some day.

We were delighted with Summer in Italy as we found all their emails extremely friendly and so willing to help us get our desired holiday in Italy and we will highly recommend Summer in Italy site to all our family and friends and hope to use this site again for our next holiday. A big thank you to all your staff.

Travel tips

  • We bought an all day ticket on the tourist train which meant we could spend time at any village from Ossuccio to Menaggio and have transport back to Mezzegra. The last train was at 10.30 pm, in peak season it's later.
  • Firework displays breathtaking, good choice of boat trips.
  • Extremely quiet on the lake - no music not even background music so if you want quiet, peaceful with good food and views and no burgers' king etc like us then this is the place for you.
  • We would highly recommend when arriving at the airports you should take a bus or train to Como and then take a ferry to the nearest port to your village as we did going home. Ferry from Tremezzo to Como then train to Malpensa Airport was a much more pleasant & relaxed way to travel to our destination.
