Travel tips

  • The Residence is situated right in the middle of the Green Way with its magnificent views and old nice villages, perfect position for walking every night. You will have incredible view right from the window but be prepared to have living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen in the same room (bathroom is distinguished).

  • Look at the information board at the Residence. There were daily updates about local events and weather forecasts for that day and the next 2 days which was very helpful when planning days out.

June 2010 - Casa Panorama Due delivered on its promise of breath-taking views and a fantastic location for our first Lake como experience. Before we went, it seemed too good to be true, especially the promised views from the apt.

The location in a small village and residential area added to the value of the experience. We felt like it was a well kept secret, a very special location in its proximity to Lenno too. We felt like we were away for longer than a week!

I usually take varied trips but I've a strong feeling I will be back here again, a truly special place.

It did feel risky as I hadn't booked on line with an unknown company before. However, the attention provided, staggered payments, detailed information in advance including how to get to the place etc and regular emails offered assurance that all would be well! Many thanks and I'd have no hesitation recommending friends and family to book with Summer in Italy.

Travel tips

  • Lots of walking up and down hilly cobbled streets and to other villages mean good walking shoes essential!
  • We didn't have a car and managed just fine. Transport by bus, ferry and train were really easy to manage. The waits between modes of transport can add up. Having a car will offer greater flexibility and more options to experience the area.
  • Great restaurant in nearby Lenno, Albergo di Lenno, very popular so booking at weekends a must.
  • Pool was very cold but it had just opened for the summer, so maybe it warms up.
