September 2015 - If you are looking for a dream Tuscany experience, Casa Monia A has it all! We were there for two weeks and found the location to be excellent. The property had the perfect blend of old world charm with all the conveniences. We loved our apartment, the property and the entire experience of Casa Monia A. We would definitely stay here again!! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
Special thanks to Carmen [the caretaker] who was always available to answer questions and helped with the "must see" places. We also enjoyed friendly hospitality and a fabulous tour given by the owners of the property, parts of which date back to the 1300's. Truly amazing!!
The web site is very professional and extremely user friendly, it has all the information needed to plan your perfect trip to Italy. I would highly recommend Summer In Italy to anyone planning a trip to Italy! The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Travel tips
- We rented a vehicle and were able to travel to many scenic towns and villages close to the property.
- There is a grocery store conveniently located close by, in the town of Serre di Rapolano. Another nice town close by is Asciano.
- We loved it all: Siena, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, the Chianti Area and one of our favourites "Cortona".
- We also drove to Florence one day. Although parking can be a little hard to find in the city, it's doable if you're patient!

September 2013 - There were 6 adults, each couple had their own bathroom and bedroom. Our common area was wonderful. We loved it and would stay there again!

- We had just spent a few weeks in Africa so we really loved having the laundry facilities. I was glad I brought clothespins!
- We went to the Coop and got wonderful beef for a party we had while there.

October 2011 - It is a relaxing beautiful place. Our hosts were so helpful, helping us with restaurants,and instructions on how to get to places, and letting us observe both the picking and the processing of the olives.
We were able to cook our own meals in the complete kitchen. Bathrooms were clean and the showers were good.
I would recommend it to friends.

August 2011 - We really liked the outdoor space and the fact that there was plenty of seating and space to get away from other guests if peace and quiet was needed. The swimming pool was clean and well kept.
The welcome was friendly and help was given when required.
Travel tips
- If making a day trip to San Gigminano you need to go early to get parked.
- You can book parking spaces near the centre of Florence at a website called MyParking.
- Pienza, Siena and Volterra are good for day trips.
- Take away pizza can be bought in Serre di Rapolano.

June 2011 - Beautiful, peaceful and absolutely perfect! The house was clean and spacious, the owners were knowledgeable and friendly, the pool was inviting and the location suited all of our needs.
I hope to go back to Italy and when I do, I plan on staying here again.

July 2010 - We had a great six weeks at Casa Monia A.
The house and the location is wonderful, the family are very friendly, helpful and really made us and our guests feel at home.
The fresh vegetables from the garden was an added bonus.
As a cycling enthusiast the route recommendations and maps that Sandro [the owner] gave me were most helpful and appreciated.

- Be ready to be relaxed, the property has a very nice vibe.
- There is so much to see within a short drive that it is hard to recommend a favourite place. For a large town my favoutite is Siena and there is Montepulciano, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, etc, etc, etc.

August 2007 - From the moment we arrived we were impressed with Casa Monia A as the welcome from Pascal, Paola and their team was very welcome after a long drive. The instructions on finding the property were excellent and a big help. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we received lots of welcome advice on local and not so local places to visit from Carmen, Lisa & Alessandro.
A very nice touch was the fact that there is a room to surf the web and with the help of Carmen's website tips I was able to find out information about the trains, the Palio and weather conditions at the coast.
My family loved the fresh produce provided to us straight from the fields and as the chef for our holiday it was a pleasure to cook with it -- supermarkets in England do not have the same quality as here.
The play area and especially the pool were firm favourites for our children and I'm sure they will remember this holiday for the rest of their lives.

Travel tips
- The local small Asciano Coop supermarket has an excellent deli counter who, even with my basic attempts at Italian, provided us with absolutely gorgeous cooked meats, fresh pesto, capers, fresh bread, etc. However, be aware the much larger Coop supermarket in the south of Siena only lets you pay in cash!!
- We were very surprised to find that the beaches are privately owned and packed even at 10 am and you need to have paid a fee at the hotel or somewhere, or park yourselves in the smaller public areas like we did, (the Italians all go for long lunches in the afternoon though).[Yes, there are both private beaches where you pay a fee for entrance and rental of chairs and umbrellas, and public beaches with free admission. No need to tell, paid beaches offer a higher degree of quality and comfort -- that's why you pay the people who take care of the beach.]
