Travel tips

  • Stock up on groceries before arrival as it is quite a long haul to the nearest supermarket up the hill.
  • The information provided in apartment did mention that the supermarket Tutto per Tutti does deliver. We never tried that but worth remembering.

July 2015 - Absolutely loved it.

The location is perfect. In a very nice and quiet bay, with the best restaurants on the coast, a perfect terrace and perfect bed, not too far from the bigger towns, but still far enough to be the perfect get away from the waves of tourists. I really hope we will come back with friends. :)

I love your website, I love your employees! Everything was amazing! I have already recommended the website to many of my friends and I look forward to booking with you again! Really great team of professionals, thank you very much again to all of you!

Travel tips

  • You can only get bus tickets in the Tabacchi store, which is not very close, so I would suggest to buy more tickets at once. That way you can just go to the bus station and not spend more time walking in the heat and sun to get tickets.
  • Must try Bar Mare Petit Restaurant and Restaurant Il Pirata. Both have incredible food and people are amazing. Bar Mare Petit Restaurant also plays some salsa and bachata, for people who love to dance.
  • Rather than buying limoncello from souvenir shops, buy a 12 euro bottle from the Tabacchi stores. It's cheaper and way better taste than in souvenir shops. The best thing is to have it in the evening on the terrace listening to the waves.
  • Nearby you’ll find the Africana Club, which is really nice, in a cave, but also out in the open. Unfortunately when we get there it was mostly empty, but we asked the people working there and they said the busy nights are Friday and Saturday. Probably nice to have a drink there and dance a little.
  • Even though it might seem at a first look a bit far from everything, buses work fine and you can reach any of the major towns quite fast.
  • Day trips to Capri and boat transfers are easy to get right from the beach.
  • Something I regret I didn’t have tried is renting a scooter for a day. It’s not expensive, the road is great, the views are perfect. Lots of fun and you will also save precious time that you will need to spend waiting for the bus.

October 2013 - I enjoyed Casa Mentuccia a lot! I think it has the best view in Praiano. Can stay whole day in enjoying the ocean view and never can get enough of it.

Can't thank you enough for choosing this casa for me. And if possible, please pass on my gratitude to Francesca's [the caretaker] father. He was so nice to me on my departure day.

  • Convento di Santa Maria a Castro is a must-go. Don't miss it!
  • Spremuta di limone [lemon squash] is the best, must try it!
