Travel tips
- The apartment is situated not far from the main road. You have to walk along this busy road for a few hundred metres before you reach the stairs which take you down into town. This can be abit dangerous with heavy traffic so you need to be careful.
- If you are arriving late at night, be sure to stop at a supermarket on the way to collect milk, bread or coffee as nothing is opened in Positano at this time.

June 2012 - We absolutely loved Casa Maraschino because it suited us very well. It was a good size apartment with a lovely big terrace which was ideal for our two young boys to play on.
The apartment is very well appointed and nicely presented and the view is excellent. This apartment is ideal if you want lots of space but you need to be fit. We counted 674 steps down to the beach and it's a long walk back the road way, but we didn't mind this. There is a local bus stop right outside but we enjoyed the walking. There are local shops just a short walk up the road where you can get groceries and a small supermarket that sells most things plus a post office, chemist, electrical appliance shop and Bar Internazionale which is the local hub.
The owner of Casa Maraschino, who lives below the apartment, is very helpful and gave us lots of information when we asked, but does not interfere with your stay and didn't mind all the noise our children made when playing on the terrace.
I can't fault this place and would highly recommend it.
Summer in Italy have been first class in every respect. Booking was easy, the interactive website and payment area work very well and the responses to all our enquiries were dealt with efficiently and quickly. We phoned the helpline once during our holiday and our problem with our airport transfer was soon resolved. Summer in Italy is an excellent holiday agency and I highly recommend them.
Travel tips
- If you stay at Casa Maraschino take the steps down to the town which takes about 15 minutes but use the road on the way back up. There are some really lovely restaurants on the roads back up to the apartment which you might miss if you take the steps or use the bus. If you time it right you can stop half way for an early evening meal and a rest!
- Our favorite day was a trip up the mountain on the local bus to Nocelle. This is a tiny village with a lovely restaurant where we had lunch and then spent the afternoon walking back down to Positano through the woods. It was a gentle descent and our boys are only 5 and 7 so most people could manage it.
- Well worth having lunch at fish restaurant Da Adolfo, which is on a small private beach. A free boat picks up the customers from Positano and drops you back after your meal.

April 2012 - Casa Maraschino was lovely. The owners were incredibly kind and very helpful. The first day we arrived, they provided us with a jar of home-stewed tomatoes, a clove of garlic and pasta for us to have a wonderful and delicious lunch.
The house was spotless and very well appointed. The view off the terrace was exceptional - even in the rain (and it rained for 7 days straight)!
I thought the website was very informative and accurate. Well done.
Travel tips
- Our favorite trip was above Positano in Montepertuso, where we ate at Restaurant Il Ritrovo twice! Delightful, farm to table cuisine. Wonderful ownership. A real find.

- Make sure you are very mobile, as there are many stairs down to town and back up again.

June 2011 - We loved staying at Casa Maraschino. The location was excellent. It was a bit of a walk to town, but the bus stop is right out the front.
The place was very clean and very relaxing. The views were excellent and in a very quiet position.
We would recommend this place to anyone. 4 stars definitely!
