Excellent
July 2007 - Location, Location, Location - this property is fantastic for easy access to the city center but still quiet with a great residential feel to it.
This was our 2nd rental with Summer in Italy and we had the same wonderful experience as the first time.
The apartment was better than we expected and the service is outstanding.
Travel tips
- There is a great shortcut to Piazza Navona - you are about a 2 minute walk from there: from the apartment, make a left on Via Dell'Orso and then make your first right - it takes you directly to Piazza Navona - no crowds and only 1 street to cross.
- Great restaurant - Il Desiderio Preso Per La Coda: Vicolo della Palomba 23: this is at the end of a dead-end street off Via Dell’Orso between Piazza Navona and Pantheon – this was the BEST meal we had in Roma – the interiors are funky/shabby chic and the menu changes often – I am still thinking about this meal it was so incredible. The restaurant is small and because of its unusual location, the only people coming here know about it – yum!
- The first cafe you encounter after going left on Via Dell'Orso from the apartment is owned by a very nice family that actually lived in the US for 5 years and then returned to Italia - grab an espresso in the morning or a night cap in the evening - and enjoy the friendly service.

June 2007 - We enjoyed Casa Lavinia A very much because although it was small it did provide everything we needed.
We were pleased to have a washing machine and clothes airer, air conditioning and a very well appointed kitchen.
The decor was very artistic and colourful.
The location very close to major attractions.
The bed was fine for us but it is against the wall and smaller than usual, so large people might find this a problem.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

May 2007 - The location is great... we walked everywhere.
I think with the apartment we got a greater sense of Rome than if we would have stayed in a hotel.
Travel tips
- The "O'rso 80" a restaurant right around the corner is wonderful. We ate there three times in a week!! Dario, our waiter was a lot of fun, as was Felizio, the fella that bakes the bread right out front.
- General advice for Rome is go EARLY to the sights. When you beat most of the tourists, its so much more enjoyable.
Unfortunately, Casa Lavinia A can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
