Tuscan atmosphere
September 2016 - If you are looking for something in the country side, Casa Gelso B is the place to stay. The view surrounding the villa is beautiful. It has that Tuscan atmosphere that one would expect to find in a small town that captures the culture and time period of earlier days. We had an excellent vacation that met all of our expectations. We look forward to a return visit in the future.
The owners were very warm and welcoming. They were also very helpful in assisting us with places to visit.
Travel tips
- The location is very good for touring nearby towns and cities such as Siena, Pisa, Volterra, Cortona and many others often within two hours or less by car. Rome was about three and a half hours away.
- If you plan to do a tour of Rome and you pay for the tour in advance, consider taking the train instead of driving. Otherwise, purchase the tour tickets after you arrive in Rome because parking is very difficult.

The location was great, the apartment was comfortable, the view from the terrace was beautiful.
It was quiet and fairly private from the other guests.

- Great location for access to San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, Florence, and Chianti region. A bit far for some of the more Southern Tuscany villages.
