May 2023 - Can't say enough good things about this property and the way it is managed so wonderfully by Summer In Italy and the owner Francesco and his family.
It is everything that the pictures show and more. Wonderfully clean, everything you need and the most relaxing and beautiful patios and hot tub that you can imagine. We fell in love with this little village, the people and the home. Mostly Francesco made our stay wonderful. He was helpful, kind and friendly.
If you get a chance to stay here, DO IT! You will not be disappointed.
FYI, I just want to add that if you are thinking of coming to the Amalfi Coast please be aware these homes sit up in the hills and you will need to be prepared to walk up and down stairs everyday. Its great exercise and allows you to eat all the pasta you want!!

Fantastic from start to finish!
July 2019 - Our stay at Casa Eralda was fantastic from start to finish! The home is beautiful, with a spectacular view, and convenient to all of the sights and sounds of the Amalfi Coast.
Our experience with Summer In Italy was a great one. They answered questions promptly and the home was exactly as advertised. Each of the outside vendors that they set us up with were similarly reliable. Thanks for helping to make our trip such a memorable one!

August 2018 - Our stay at Casa Eralda was fantastic.
The view is simply gorgeous! The terrace and garden are really enjoyable. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can prepare fantastic Italian meals (there is also a collection of cooking books where we found nice recipes). Bathrooms are nice too and lots of towels are provided.
Summer In Italy provided a fantastic service. You saved us a lot of time understanding our needs and proposing the right options. We will recommend you to anyone going to Italy. Our thanks to the whole team!
Travel tips
- Nearby minimarket with all the necessary and a choice of nice restaurants.
- You will have to climb some stairs for sure but it will keep you fit!
- Take the bus to Positano early in the morning and enjoy the town and the superb beach.
- Praiano has 2 small beaches with a lot of stairs.
- So much to visit in the area: Capri, Pompei, Napoli, Sorrento, Amalfi... You will never get bored!

September 2017 - Casa Eralda is a lovely apartment with fantastic views. We had a great time although the steps were a challenge!
Eddy [the caretaker] was very helpful indeed and made us feel very welcome with some insider knowledge of the area. Great that he organised the porter to help with the luggage - we used him again when we vacated the apartment.
Excellent service from Summer In Italy - very helpful when our early choices of villa proved fully booked. They always seemed available when I sent e-mails and responded very quickly.
Travel tips
- Use the services of a porter to take your luggage up from the car park to the apartment.
- If you hire a car make sure it is a small one as the car park space is small and it might be a bit difficult to enter and exit into the traffic.
- All the restaurants we visited were good and some excellent. Wherever you go to eat always start with Prosecco!
- Visit the artist/sculptor in the Torre Normanna - a lot of fun.
- A boat trip to Capri is a must, the best area on the island being high up, accessed via the funicular railway.
- If you are visiting the old Roman Villa in Capri there is a great little cafe almost at the Villa.
- The "Walk of the Gods" is great and not as strenuous as you might think.

June 2016 - We spent three nights at Casa Eralda in June 2016 and it was breath taking. The view is drop-dead gorgeous and the house is a dream. Plenty of room for the four of us, comfortable beds, air conditioning (if needed), stores, shops, wonderful restaurants, the beach, all within walking distance.
We cannot wait to come back to Praiano and Casa Eralda! We are looking forward to our longer return trip.

- Porter service to the property was included, but if you'll need it when you leave, you'll need to arrange with the porter before he leaves.

September 2014 - Casa Eralda was outstanding.
There was plenty of room for our family of 4: two adults and 2 children. The whole apartment had such a lovely feel almost lived in, loads of character but not cluttered. The balcony/terrace is very large and partly covered to provide the right amount of shade. The dining/living area was very big and airy (with air conditioning) and the table was big enough for 10. The kitchen was small but well equipped. There were two bathrooms, one small with a shower and a larger one with a bath, both well equipped, lots of towels and hair dryer. The bedrooms were simple and homely. The main one had air-conditioning. Over all I felt at home and relaxed, and with that breath taking view it was perfect.
Our hosts were very efficient. We had no problems so we had very little contact with them, however they gave us contact details if we needed them.
Thank you so much for a lovely holiday.
Great site Summer In Italy, I will use you again. Soon I hope :)
Travel tips
- The only problem would be the approximately 180 steps that we had to go up to get to the apartment, so you can eat all the pasta you want without gaining a pound. :)
