Very nice and clean

May 2019 - We loved Casa Elisabetta! Owners were very friendly and accommodating. We really appreciated our welcome snack after a long day of travel.

VERY clean and nice apartment - gorgeous views.

Thanks for a fabulous time!!! Ciao:-)

Travel tips

  • Loved Praiano! So quiet and quaint. It is close by a bus ride to bigger towns for day trips (we went to Positano). Beware that you must get on bus early in the morning or they will pass you by filled with others passengers. This proved to be an asset to us as we spent the day in Praiano instead of Amalfi. It was one of our favorite days in Italy.
  • Visiting Torre a Mare and meeting artist Paolo Sandulli at the tower was a highlight of our trip.
  • The small beach in Praiano was filled with sea glass and beautiful bits of tile made smooth by the sea - what treasures!!
  • We enjoyed drinks and snacks literally right next to the sea at IL Pirata, and we had the BEST calamari of our lives at Ristorante Costa Diva. Love, love, love Praiano!
  • The switch under the lamp/table on the landing outside the bathroom turns off the water. Yikes! We thought it was a light switch and had hardly any water pressure until we called the owners who very quickly came to our rescue. 😊

Lovely place, helpful landlord

October 2017 - Lovely casa. Very nice experience. The landlord was gracious and very helpful. I would highly recommend this casa.

Every experience I've had with Summer in Italy has been wonderful. Thanks!

Travel tips

  • If you're not accustomed to steps, you may want to use a porter service to bring your bags. It's 6 euro per bag and worth it.

Casa Elisabetta exceeded our expectations!

September 2017 - Casa Elisabetta exceeded our expectations! Fantastic setting, with the best terrace to enjoy the views and sunset. Look forward to our return!!

Cristina and Luigi [the owners] are wonderful hosts and were so helpful in organizing our transportation.

Summer In Italy was a breeze to work with in finding our rental. Prompt in providing everything needed to know the area and sites to see.

Travel tips

  • Use water taxis to get around, so much fun and best deal!

Highly recommended!

July 2016 - Casa Elisabetta is a beautiful house, even nicer than the pictures and spotlessly clean. Views were spectacular, air conditioning worked flawlessly and Wi-Fi was strong. Many steps up from the road so not for the unfit!! Highly recommended!!

You guys were great. I'm recommending Summer In Italy to all my friends.

Travel tips

  • Just go to the local shop under La Moressa restaurant (which we really liked too btw). It's much easier to carry groceries down to the apartment from the shop than up 100+ steps from the main road.
  • Loved Marina di Praia Beach and advise people to take a boat trip from there to Capri.
  • Restaurants close to the Marina di Praia Beach are also highly recommended, and the beautiful views of the harbor come free!

August 2015 - We loved Casa Elisabetta.

The apartment itself was beautiful with a gorgeous view across the Amalfi Coast. Everything in the apartment was more that what we wished for. We enjoyed breakfast each morning on the terrace and relaxing there on the sun loungers.

The owners gave plenty of advice about the local area (lovely places to eat and where to get supplies from) and left a lovely supper for us on arrival. It was certainly a lovely addition - thank you!

We found all of the staff at Summer In Italy really helpful. Thank you for your help and advise and we look forward to planning our next holiday with you!

Travel tips

  • The little cove below - Marina di Praia - is lovely and we had a great boat and snorkeling trip from there.
  • The village itself is small but with enough shops to have a look around and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
  • We found it easier - and more enjoyable - to take the steps up and then walk along the paths to the centre of Praiano, than walk along the busy coast road.
  • The local people are really friendly and welcoming.
  • Be aware of the number of steps you have to climb to get up to the apartment and then further up to the lovely restaurants by the supermarket 'Tutto Per Tutti'. They are tiring but well worth it for the view and delicious food!
  • A thank you to the staff in the supermarket 'Tutto Per Tutti' who were always very helpful.

August 2015 - Casa Elisabetta was a beautiful house where we could totally relax without being overlooked by anyone else. The interior was charming and the terrace had fantastic views over the sea.

I would love to revisit. Everything was perfect.

I found Summer In Italy site online and it was easy to search and find relevant places and help was on hand when necessary. I found that everyone I dealt with was friendly and did their best to help us achieve what we wanted.

Travel tips

  • Be aware of lots of step climbing every time you go out. It helps keep you fit!
  • My tip would be to ask the owner who will tell you all you need to know about what to do during your stay.
  • We really enjoyed our trip on the bus to Positano.

Fantastic

June 2015 - The view is amazing and the apartment exploits this with views from the living room, bedroom and bed. It is so nice to wake up in the morning and one of the first things you see is the sea. The apartment is very neat, clean and tidy and the owners are so very helpful.

With the beach not far away and a number of eating alternatives as well as a small supermarket, it is very well located. We would not hesitate in returning again.

I was very impressed with Summer In Italy service. Every person I dealt with was very prompt, knowledgeable and helpful I think that your service extends beyond just the accommodation and people should be encouraged to use your local knowledge to answer their other touring requirements as I did with the taxi. Thank you and well done.

Travel tips

  • Do stair climbing as there is no avoiding it on the Amalfi Coast.
  • Unless you are strong and fit, utilize the baggage porters because there are about 100 steps.
  • We tried a few of the local restaurants and they were all good.
  • The local supermarket has most of your supplies and buses are not far away either.
  • The apartment is not serviced by a driveway like a large majority of the apartments so be prepared to walk and climb.

September 2014 - Casa Elisabetta was amazing!

My husband and I were there for our honeymoon and we couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay. Casa Elisabetta was so fresh and clean and it was above all expectations.

Everything was so amazing and Ms Elisabetta [the owner] was very helpful at our arrival.

Summer In Italy is a great website and we're happy for all help with the booking. I strongly recommend people to book through you.

Travel tips

  • There were a lot of stairs up to the house, but my husband and I enjoyed walking on them to be honest. Great exercise!
  • For people with walking disabilities I can imagine that it would be hard to climb all those stairs.
  • There was a shop just 5 minutes from the house which had everything you needed.
  • Stay in Praiano was amazing, it was close to Amalfi and Positano (you can take the bus just down the road) but it wasn't so touristic, which was great.
  • We walked to Positano and it took about an hour. It takes about 15-20 minutes by bus.

June 2014 - Casa Elisabetta was a beautiful apartment in the quiet and soothing town of Praiano, just down the road from busy Positano.

For those who prefer a real slice of Italian life I highly recommend both Priano and Casa Elisabetta. The apartment is a beautiful duplex in the Moroccan style with 180 degree views of the Mediterranean and the Amalfi coastline. A balcony and terrace provide the views and a lovely place to have all your meals. The apartment was spotless and well equipped.

The family who owns and manages the apartment live next door and are helpful but not obtrusive. It was a great experience.

Summer in Italy works very well.

May 2014 - Everything was perfect! We were greeted with warmth and hospitality . We couldn't have dreamed of a better scenario.

Grazie Mille to the family of Casa Elisabetta. You made us feel special!

You were all extremely helpful in this process.

Travel tips

  • Be prepared to have an amazing, heavenly vacation. And be prepared to climb plenty of stairs.
  • The bus is located conveniently at the bottom of all the stairs and you have to buy tickets up the block at the Tabacchi store. But that bus takes you up and down the Amalfi coast.
  • Be sure to eat at Restaurant La Strada in Praiano!

September 2013 - Casa Elisabetta has a spectacular view! The last 2 nights during our stay there was a huge full moon. It seemed like it was sitting on our terrace. The stars seem so close it is like you can pick them from the amazing midnight blue sky.

The layout of the apartment is ideal. Bedroom and bathroom are separated just enough from the kitchen and living room. The bedroom is peaceful and very restful. The 2nd terrace is private and great for a bit of sunbathing. Plenty of hot water for relaxing baths and great to have a washer right off the bathroom. Easy to cook and have a good breakfast before you start an active day. Great apartment.

Travel tips

  • The guests must be able to go up and down stairs to stay in this apartment.
  • Plenty of space for up to 3-4 people.
  • Very good restaurant at Onda Verde Hotel -- breakfast/dinner.
  • Great boat trip to Capri.
  • Amazing view from terrace of Casa Elisabetta.

Fantastic

June 2013 - We loved it!! We got used to the steps to the climb after a day or two. We liked staying in Praiano where it was quiet and less touristy!!

Travel tips

  • We had a car which we were thankful for. We did day trips to Amalfi, Ravello, Pompeii, Positano, and we climbed Mt. Vesuvius.
  • Skip Naples! It was dirty and full of graffiti!!
  • Capri was awesome and we went through island tours and had a guide. We saw everything we wanted to see and did everything we wanted to do and it wouldn't have been possible without our guide Michelle.

Fantastic

August 2012 - We absolutely loved the guest house and really enjoyed our stay there! The only thing that we were surprised about was the amount of steps to get to the house (and anywhere for that matter) [300 steps, as stated in the property description]. Other than that, Casa Elisabetta is beautiful and the owners are wonderful and we had a fantastic time! Thank you!

You guys were great and helpful and reliable from start to finish and I would not hesitate to use your company again and refer you to friends and family! Thank you and keep up the great work!!

Travel tips

  • Be prepared to walk up a lot of stairs if you want to go and see and do anything! Great though for working off all of the pasta. Phew! : )

May 2012 - We enjoyed Casa Elisabetta immensely. The apartment was very roomy and comfortable.

Our hosts, Elisabetta and Cristina were very welcoming. Cristina brought us some wonderful home made cake and they had snacks when we arrived. We even met Cristina's mother as we were leaving the final morning. She met us at the bottom of the first stairway with lemons for each of us. We wished the weather had been more accommodating so that we could have used the terrace more.

The down sides: The apartment on the living room side was very noisy late into the night on 3 nights. Not a controllable factor, but a factor just the same. The 180 steps to the apartment are not for the faint of heart. Dragging your bag up that many steps had us digging deep, especially after traveling for over 25 hours.

Travel tips

  • Pack light! You have to get your luggage up and down a lot of steps.
  • Know some Italian. The owners speak very little English.
