The perfect location!
July 2016 - Casa Coccola is an absolutely beautiful house with a stunning view, we had a wonderful two weeks there. It was the perfect location in the town and it was always lovely to come back to the peace and quiet when we had had a busy day. Overall 10 out of 10.
No advice for Summer In Italy. I found your company on the Internet and from the moment I started looking until the moment we arrived home you were nothing but helpful. I would recommend you highly to everyone. Thank you for an amazing holiday.
Travel tips
- Be prepared for hard walks as it's very hilly and hard work in the hot sun.
- There is a bus if you wish to wait that drops you right outside the villa.

September 2015 - Casa Coccola is spacious and has outstanding views from the terrace and barbeque area. We could not have asked for a better property that easily accommodated 6 people.
The house was in an excellent location with shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Enza [the owner] was extremely friendly, responsive to any queries and offered lots of good advice to our group.
As I have said many times, your Summer In Italy team are the best. Everything was very well organized including how to pay, when to pay, instructions to get to the property, details about life in Italy and answers to any of our questions. We will always use your team for any future trips to Italy.
Travel tips
- Local bus trips to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi are frequent and easy to find.
- The owner can help with boat trips to Capri and Naples.
- The restaurants at the beach and harbor were perfect.
- A day trip to Capri on a private boat is recommended.

June 2015 - Casa Coccola is a great place. Really nice house, air conditioning worked great, beds were very firm.
Enza [the owner] speaks excellent English and will mark a map for you of your interests - very nice.
Summer In Italy did a great job! Thanks for a memorable trip.
Travel tips
- Don't bring a car! Crazy narrow mountain roads with no apparent rules.
- Lots of great restaurants. Restaurant M’Ama and the pizzeria located at short walk (2 or 3 blocks up hill) are great.
- Grocery located at a couple of blocks down hill (they will deliver your groceries for free back to the property).
- Dress is very casual everywhere, even nice restaurants.
- Comfortable shoes only! Lots of walking, everywhere is up or downhill. Lots of steps in the town - you will get some exercise.
- We enjoyed day trips to Positano and Amalfi (see the Cathedral at Amalfi - cheap entrance fee - amazing).
- Buses are cheap (about $1) and run until night. There are 3 bus lines in the area: yellow/orange Flavio Gioia bus - line "Interno Praiano"(in town), yellow/orange Flavio Gioia bus - line "Praiano-Positano"(between the two towns), big SITA bus (linking all the small towns along the Amalfi Coast). SITA buses have just 1 or 2 stops in each town, the others many stops.
- Flavio Gioia bus stop at about 30 feet from Casa Coccola. The bus gets you everywhere in town, to the SITA bus stop (from where you will be able to get other towns like Amalfi) and to Positano.
- Taxis are very expensive - say, $15 for 2 or 3 mile trip, $32 for 5 or 6 miles from Positano.

May 2014 - We (4 girls) can not say enough good things about Casa Coccola.
The home was beyond beautiful. The decorating was of a very high quality. The sofas were huge and both pulled out to beds so we did not have to use the smaller beds in the loft which was nice as we were all on the same floor. We lived and ate on the front covered patio in the mornings and evenings, and in the afternoon we lived and ate on the side patio. Great for sunbathing and cooling off under the outdoor shower. We loved it so much we didn't even go down to the beach to sunbathe. The kitchen was huge compared to the other 2 places we stayed in Rome and Florence and we loved having the BBQ. We made most of our meals at home and the kitchen had everything we needed, especially the full size fridge. The internet was very reliable too, which made it easy to update family and friends on our daily routines.
Enza [the owner] was also amazing, all we had to do was ask and she arranged it: onsite massage, a trip to the Path of Gods, dinner reservations, booking our taxi, boat excursion to Capri, and even train tickets.
Wish we had stayed longer, and can't wait to go back!!!
Summer in Italy is the best, right from booking to our last day you were always just an email away and very quick to respond with any question we had. I just happened to find you on the internet and so glad I did you were always so helpful thank you for making this trip one to remember. Thank you for all your help!
Travel tips
- We took a taxi from Salerno which was great because of Rocco, our driver, who gave us a great scenic tour along the way!
- Casa Coccola is huge and feels more like a home than an apartment.
- A quick walk to the local supermarket for food and wine was very convenient.
- We enjoyed the pizza place nearby and the local ceramic shop.
-
We also had a great meal at the Restaurant Il Pirata.
We loved walking around Praiano, up and down the steps and hills, getting lost a few times but eventually finding our way back home.
The local bus stop was just outside our home so it was easy to hop on for trips to Positano and the Amalfi Coast.
The locals were very friendly and spoke English without a problem which was great because our Italian was limited at best.
- Ask Enza the minute you want to do anything she has all the contacts and always got us better prices than any we saw advertised. She is like your personal travel agent only a text away. Always there when you needed her but never intrusive.
- Definitely book to stay 2 weeks 1 just isn't enough.

November 2013 - Cass Coccola is a very well set up Villa.
Rino and Enza [the owners] are very accommodating answering any queries we had promptly.
The Villa was exceptionally clean and tidy.
We enjoyed our stay.
Your service was very professional. Couldn't be faulted, thank you.
Travel tips
- The property had good parking as the street is very narrow and has no parking available.

August 2013 - Casa Coccola exceeded all expectations. The house is beautifully maintained, well equipped with everything, spacious, and the views are spectacular.
Maybe the best of all is Enza, the owner's daughter, who manages your stay. We couldn't have asked for a better time. It was perfect.

September 2012 - We loved Casa Coccola - the space indoors was excellent.
The bedrooms on the main floor were both large and opened onto the terrace, it was nice that two couples had similar space.
Although the kitchen area was small we soon realized it didn't matter as we were on the terraces most of the time. The terraces were so spacious and beautiful and offered choices for different times of the day.
The view from the villa was lovely throughout the day.
This place is well situated in a smaller and quieter town on the coast. After a busy day of touring and buses we were always thrilled to be back home in Casa Coccola and Praiano. We felt it was the perfect choice for us. All in all we loved this spot and would return.
I was very pleased with our correspondence which was always timely and helpful. I enjoyed dealing with Summer in Italy and felt confident about things from the beginning. Great staff!
Travel tips
- The walks to the beaches/coast were great as well as The hike along The Path of the Gods!
- Bus travel is an experience not to be missed - definitely did not wish for a car!
- Did a day trip to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius using bus and train from Meta/Sorrento. Very doable.
- Convenient grocery just down the street and several restaurants nearby but cooking for ourselves and enjoying the terraces was really more appealing.
- Sita bus stop easy to find on lower street, Praiano to Positano bus stop right outside the gate, grocery just a few minutes walk away and a great local pizzeria (Jolly's) just up the street.

May 2012 - It was a perfect location -- beautiful view! It was a short walk to the grocery store, restaurants, and the church for Sunday Mass. And the parking area was a real bonus!
We would recommend Casa Coppola to anyone!
Summer In Italy could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We booked with you because of the beautiful properties available, and the ease in using your website. Thank you!!!
Travel tips
- We took a day trip to Capri on a rubber boat with a driver through Positano Boats, which had an office in Priano -- it was wonderful!
Unfortunately, Casa Coccola can not be booked at this time.
We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
