Good

October 2013 - We did enjoy our stay at Casa Agostino B.

It helped that the managers allowed us to come into their lobby to access their WiFi during the day. That was a big plus.

The apartment was as described. The twin bed mattresses were extremely firm. We were glad we didn't have to sleep on them!

We enjoyed all the activity in the port each morning as people came to leave on the day trips to Capri.

Travel tips

  • Ask about using the WiFi at the manages' lobby.
  • The new elevator for trips up the cliff is a great alternative to the bus.
  • If you are coming back after 7 pm you'll probably have to walk but it's an easy walk down from the top.

May 2012 - Great location to access the boats to transport you from Sorrento to Naples and Amalfi, also Capri. It's about 200 steps to get up to the main city of Sorrento but there are also buses to get you up there. Overall great experience.

Travel tips

  • Eat at Restaurant Marameo

September 2011 - Loved Casa Agostino. Enjoyed the owner being close by, and an on-site manager, Osmond, helping us get settled on arrival.

Location was great for all we wanted to do.

Summer In Italy are great. Appreciated your timely responses and communication to help us span two continents, cultures and multiple time zones to embrace a people and land now even more dear as a result of this trip and your help in making it possible. Grazie mille.

Travel tips

  • Favorite restaurant, Restaurant Ruccio, right below the apartment.
  • Pompeii by train, Amalfi Coast by bus, Capri by boat and Sorrento on foot, all outstanding.
  • If you're a light sleeper, there is early truck/garbage noise.

September 2011 - Loved the location! Price was right.

I see what people mentioned - the garbage collection in the wee hours ...quite loud with the crash of the bottles breaking. Otherwise relatively quiet at night. But great location, clean and more than adequate. Just what we asked for - location, nothing fancy, clean.

Travel tips

  • Don't expect luxury.
  • Make sure you turn the water heater on.
  • Bring some clothes detergent - but the owner will do washing if you ask.
  • Owner easy to get in touch with and had a person on the same floor as the apartment who could help if needed. Will provide an extra key if necessary.

September 2010 - Very much enjoyed the place. Very large flat, good facilities. Some furniture could have been better (double bed and sofa uncomfortable, and plastic furniture flimsy) but this didn't spoil things.

Location excellent (all the steps not fault of owner!) and views stunning.

Owner very attentive and good to deal with.

Cooking facilities much better than usually found in package deals, etc, good fridge, etc.

Decor well done, place clean and tidy.

Could have done with a more detailed map of area to find apartment (detailing steps down to Marina Piccola - took us a long time to find it). On whole, sad to leave.

Thank you so much. Molte Grazie!

Travel tips

  • Future guests need to be aware of amount of stairs both in block and up to town. Older, infirm residents may have problems. A lot of late-night noise, including rubbish collection nightly. Not a problem for us, but may be problem for some.

May 2010 - I enjoyed Casa Agostino B, but the 4th floor was a bit much of a trek, must be under 50 years old!!!

The bus was a bit much to get up and down to the town, must buy a 3-7 day pass, will make your life easier.

The owner was pleasing, the view was nice. The place was clean and colorful.

October 2009 - We really enjoyed Casa Agostino B the owner is very friendly and helpful and it is a great location.

Thank you very much for the really professional service you provided and all the advice you provided. It was the smoothest run part of our holiday.

Travel tips

  • Casa Agostino is in a great location if you are intending to take ferries on day trips, if you are not and are looking to use the train then up in the town of Sorrento itself maybe a better option. Note the ferry services after the 1st of Oct diminish greatly.

April 2008 - We liked the Casa Agostino B and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Port area is very quiet in the evening but expect there is a lot of activity quite early in the morning and you can expect to be woken by ships' foghorns and the general hubbub. For us that was part of of the local colour but worth considering for those who really want peace and quiet.

Kitchen facilities are quite basic for guests planning to have most meals in the apartment.

I came across you by chance browsing the Internet. I like your website, your service is quick and efficient, and I would be pleased to use you again or recommend you to others

September 2007 - Casa Agostino B is a very nice apartment.

Signora Roberta [the owner] was very helpful. Modern furniture.

Keep up the good work! I will recommend your services.

Travel tips

  • A lot of steps, not suitable for elderly people.
  • Next door restaurant Vela Bianca was very good but not cheap.

Unfortunately, Casa Agostino B can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
