Very good

October 2013 - We enjoyed Appartamento Urbano because we had greater space than the hotel rooms we had been using. The apartment was not far from the train station or local attractions. We could also see local Italians in their everyday lifestyle.

Travel tips

  • The pizza shop just a few steps up the street sold delicious pizzas and the shop assistants were very friendly. Most evenings we made a salad for dinner rounded out with pizza.
  • It took us 30 minutes to walk to the train station, or we could catch the No. 22 bus almost at the door.
  • Day trips into Tuscany were easy to arrange through the Tourist Information Centre. The first, a day trip to Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena. We were picked up at the door on this trip. There wasn't enough time to spent in Siena so I would suggest a separate trip here. The second was a wine tasting afternoon/evening. The wine tasting included small amounts of food tasting. Excellent value for money.

October 2012 - Plus: Large apparent, very nice furnished. Place in the close vicinity to the public transportation.

Minus: Bedroom placed in front of the building is very noisy due to the traffic on the main road.

Overall: A very good choice for a stay in Florence at a decent price.

Unfortunately, Appartamento Urbano can not be booked at this time.
