June 2015 - Appartamento Reginaldo B is a lovely tranquil place to stay. The views are fantastic overlooking vineyards and a beautiful view over to San Gimignano. The location was very good as a base to travel all around Tuscany and was a delight to come back to after a hard days sightseeing.

Once we had arrived the owners were very welcoming and friendly. The invitation to the meal provided by the owners is well worth attending, lovely food in a relaxed environment and helps to introduce you to your fellow guests.

Very easy to deal with Summer In Italy and informative.

Travel tips

  • Stop at the Coop supermarket on the way to get supplies, this is just off the roundabout before you turn off for the apartments.
  • The restaurant you pass on the way to the apartments is well worth a visit.
  • Take plenty of protection with you to guard against all the insects as we had plenty of bites.

August 2014 - Enjoyed Appartamento Reginaldo B very much.

The family that own the apartment were very helpful and did everything they could to make our stay a happy one.

We would definitely stay there again.

Everything very efficient. I would use Summer In Italy again. Decided on the company as it was run by Italians who have fuller understanding of their country! Chose apartment for location, wanted a small farm house with not too many apartments in complex.

Travel tips

  • Ask to be shown the way to walk into San Gimignano (not the way you drive) . Although uphill as you approach it is easy to do and much better than taking the car and having to park. It takes about 20 - 25 minutes.
  • So many interesting places in the area - definitely visit Volterra.
  • If you visit Florence or Siena drive to Poggibonsi and get the bus.
  • As you will know there are lots of 'holiday festivities' during August in Italy and, in San Gimignano, there was a music festival. Music could be heard quite loudly most nights until midnight. It traveled across the surrounding countryside clearly. The owners had no control of this and of course every other property in the area would experience the same. For us it was no problem.

  • Be careful where you park at the Coop in San Gimignano, set your hourly meter which is on your windshield as you get one hour free.

October 2010 - We enjoyed the lovely setting of the vineyards and olive groves. We very much enjoyed being invited to the wedding happening at the property and the lovely dinner for the wine tasting. It was a truly wonderful experience.

The only down we had was getting in to the property took us a long time and we were alarmed that we could not contact the number on the gate. We were happily able to contact via a couple who were able to ring for us. I think the check in there is not good.
