Excellent

August 2010 - We had an excellent holiday. The view from the balcony was wonderful - straight towards the beautiful island of Capri. The staff were most helpful and co-operative - nothing was too much trouble for them. The complex, overall was well-maintained and extremely pretty. We would certainly go again!

There were however a few things that could be improved: the kitchen equipment was very poor - no sharp knives, no tin opener, no serving dishes, no microwavable containers, to name but a few things that really should be provided in a self-catering apartment; the shower in the en suite was damaged, though usable; the barbecue was in pieces (though, in all fairness, once this was mentioned to the staff a replacement was provided at the earliest opportunity); the swimming pool, though beautiful, was not particularly easy for a disabled person to use as it was often very crowded and children played on/around the steps and the ledge leading from the shallow area to the deeper area was extremely steep (only a moan as I am disabled!)

Nothing that couldn't be overcome.

The service we had from Summer in Italy was excellent. We found the company through the Internet and have already recommended it to others. Thank you for your efficiency and friendly attitude.

Travel tips

  • Hiring a car is a real benefit though public transport from the local village is good and frequent. However, driving in Italy is hazardous! We did get used to it but found doing organised trips and using the trains from Sorrento a very good way of seeing the key sights.
  • Boat trips to Capri and up the Amalfi coast were excellent and train journeys from Sorrento to Pompeii and Vesuvius were easy and hassle-free. All should definitely be experienced whilst in this area.
  • The shops in the village of Termini are within walking distance and are like the English village stores of old! There are supermarkets and an excellent butcher's in Massa Lubrense and a good supermarket just beyond the station in Sorrento.

August 2009 - Yes, we enjoyed Appartamento Cerasella, the place is quiet and peaceful, pleasant.

The furniture in the apartment are poor... but, it is just like on the pictures on the website.

You have done a good job. Professional. We had one of the best holiday from ever in Italy this year...

Thanks a lot...

Travel tips

  • There are many small, nice, and cheap restaurants in the surroundings... it's cheaper to go to the restaurant, than to make your own barbecue on the terrace... which is to do just for fun, pleasure, and the view on Capri Island.
  • Because of the traffic, use the train to go to the many wonderful sights (Pompeii, Vesuvio, Herculaneum...
  • Rent a small 25HP boat for ONE day (120 eur petrol included!) from the Santa Maria Beach to visit the Amalfi coast by the sea. Wonderful!
  • Not far from the complex there is one of the most famous restaurant of Italy: Quattro Passi. We have tried it. A dream!
