- Shopping in Monteroni d'Arbia at the Coop was great. Lovely meat and baked goods.
- Asciano is a lovely town and good for connections by rail to Siena, Florence, etc.

Lovely holiday in a great villa
September 2025 - We had a lovely holiday in a great villa.
The grounds were well kept and enjoyable. Free use of a tennis court was great. The on-site help from Sonia [the caretaker] was invaluable.
I have used Summer in Italy for a number of years, the properties have always been good and the descriptions accurate. Good communication
Travel tips
- Restaurant La Mencia in Asciano is very good.
- If the SP12 to Asciano is still blocked talk to Sonia about using the farm track.
- If you like tennis it's worth taking your own rackets.

Exceeded our expectations
July 2025 - Appartamento Aquila is a beautiful place and exceeded our expectations. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We had the peace of the place, the pool, and then could drive into Siena and Florence when we wanted to visit places.
Sonia [the caretaker] was very helpful and called us a few days before we arrived to see if we wanted to book for dinner. Rosella provided an excellent dinner.
Correspondence with Summer In Italy was excellent and timely. Very helpful. Overall, I had a great experience with Summer In Italy and with Casa Giobatta.
Travel tips
- Great supermarket in Monteroni d'Arbia - Sonia will give directions, 10 minutes drive.
- 30 minutes to Siena, park at the Parcheggio Il Campo.
