Set in the natural landscape of brush and dunes, the beach is at the foot of the Torre Mozza watch tower near Follonica. It is within the Parco Costiera Sterpaia, so feels more "wild" than some of the other beaches in the area, though you'll find some concessions that rent umbrellas and sun beds, along with bars and restaurants. It is in the Gulf of Follonica, about three kilometers north of town.

Fine golden sand and water that gradually deepens, along with the lovely landscape with the tower in the background. There is a reef that runs parallel to the shoreline about 30 meters out that is ideal for snorkelers and some sources say it is actually a tract of the ancient Via Aurelia. It helps break the waves.
