The Maremma Park in Canoe

A tour organization in conjunction with the Parco della Maremma organizes guided canoe trips on the Ombrone River. It's a fun way for the whole family to experience the beauty of nature of the park. The canoes are stable and guided along calm water. Experienced paddlers can have a single or double kayak or canoe rather than a larger group one. The outings last about two hours, and can be combined with a walking or biking tour of the Maremma Park, too. The excursions leave from "la barca" area off the Strada Vecchia Aurelia; it not far from the Maremma Park's visitor's center and is just a few minutes from Principina a Mare.
