Tenuta Marsiliana

In the shadow of Castello Marsiliana, this winery has won awards for its Maremma-produced wines. It is owned by Prince Corsini, a descendent of the noble Florentine family, who was one of the first to plant commercial vineyards in the Maremma. The vines in the plains between the hills flourished and others followed suit, so now Maremma has a noteworthy wine industry.
The enoteca tasting room occupies the old mill at the foot of the castle. You can taste the Vermentino (white), award-winning Birillo, and Marsiliana Rosso. They also sell their own olive oil and wine glasses fashioned from old bottles. If you schedule a tasting in advance, the visit includes a tour of the castle.
The store is open daily from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm and from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Closed Sunday. Call for an appointment if you want a tour of the winery and the castle. Tenuta Marsiliana is located between Capalbio and Manciano.
