Restaurant Epomeo La Grotta

A restaurant on the mountain top that offers stunning views and a respite from the trails. It isn't easy to reach - you have to hoof it up Mt. Epomeo, but La Grotta provides sustenance after the exertion. It's located by the Eremo di San Nicola on Monte Epomeo. They serve Ischian specialties, including rabbit, potatoes from the field, and vegetables from the garden. Goat cheese made on the island is also famous. Casual, rustic environment.

Open for lunch every day from March through November. Dinner is served in July and August, by reservation.
