Modern science center juxtaposed in a graceful 17th century villa makes for a truly special and intriguing museum. It is called "a special place where you learn about science through science" It is completely Hands-On, in fact they say it's forbidden to NOT touch everything! With more than 40 interactive stations that demonstrate natural phenomena and scientific experiments, kids and adults alike are encouraged to touch, observe, reflect and enjoy. There are also temporary exhibits and a hall of sensory perception and illusion. The physics hall takes in experiments with light, waves and electromagnetism. The Maths hall brings algebra, geometry and statistics to clearer understanding. There's even an earthquake simulator here!

Exploration of the museum is autonomous - the use of a guide could disorient or hinder the enjoyment or spark of learning, so curiosity is given free reign here. "The only guide is the visitor's curiosity." The stations are in Italian and English.

There is an observatory and planetarium and includes a spectacular show, which is always a hit with everyone!

The recommended time for the museum tour is an hour and a half, but everyone is encouraged to enjoy it at their own pace.

HOURS:

From September through June, open weekends and holidays from 3:00 PM til 7:30 PM. The planetarium shows are at 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM. The facility is closed from June 2-June 30.
