A regional nature park that encompasses 25 miles of coast, a chain of tree-covered hills, and the Uccellina mountains, taking in 9,000 hectares (22,239acres) of undisturbed nature. The park stretches from Principina a Mare to Talamone, a promontory on the Gulf of Argentario. It is a a splendid and beautiful park, an unexpected green oasis with archeology sites, ancient coastal towers, and miles of trails to enjoy. The beaches are pristine and undeveloped.

The area enjoys a fascinating reputation as the land of cowboys, the butteri still keep their herding and riding traditions alive in the Maremma. The park offers the possibility to go horse riding, as well as hiking, biking, canoeing and swimming. You can organize rides, canoe outings, horse-drawn carriage rides and more at the Visitor's Center in Alberese, where you will also find trail maps. Paths of various lengths will keep walkers and bicyclists happy. To reach the natural undeveloped beaches, you will need to walk or rent a bike to get through the pine woods to the sandy expanses along the coast.

Information on the excursions, paths, activities and sights of the park can be found at their website and in the park office.
