In the stone borgo of Lecchi in Chianti, the Malborghetto serves traditional Tuscan fare that will satisfy meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. Using seasonal produce from their own garden (organic) and carefully sourced ingredients, they make the dishes Tuscany is famous for, along with some new twists. Plump pasta like pici or egg-noodle pasta pappardelle with duck or wild boar sauce, stewed rabbit, lamb chops, grilled steaks are thoroughly Tuscan, but so are the soups, the pappa al pomodoro and other veg-based meals. Nice ambiance, outdoor dining, and house-made desserts, plus online reservations through their website.
