La Secca and Il Mirto Beach Clubs

While they are technically separate beach clubs, they are owned by brothers and are connected by a footpath. The road leads to both, with separate parking areas, offering arbor-draped covered parking areas and a path to the solarium, as they call these beach clubs in this area. Both are beautiful, have changing cabins, restrooms, bar and food service, and space between the umbrellas and sunbeds. This is where you want to go if you're going to spend the whole day and not just a couple of hours enjoying the water.
What's the Difference?
Il Mirto is laid out on different terraced levels with shady trees in some areas for extra shade, and more space between umbrellas. It has deeper water that is accessed by stairs (there is a "tower" with a spiral staircase in it, and a separate ramp-like gravel path with pool-type steps to get in the water. It's not as suited for those who don't like to swim or for small children. However, it's great for those who like deper water and want to swim to the island just across (easy) and plunge into the clear sea. The snack bar offers a selection of cold fare, some produce coming from an on-site garden. Full bar provides drinks, soft drinks, coffee, etc. Stay until sunset as the upper terrace by the bar provides great views.
La Secca has a half-shell shaped sandy beach along with more umbrellas and sunbeds on the gravel area and lawns that stretch out above. If you're on the beach, the umbrellas are closer together, while above there is more space to spread out. Access to the water is by the beach, so it deepens more gradually. They offer the same type of services as Il Mirto, with the addition of kayak and pedal boat rentals.
Both are beautiful parks with crystalline water and gorgeous scenery surrounding you.
