La Merenderia Maratea

In the narrow lanes of Maratea's centro storico, La Merenderia is an institution and a must-go kind of place. The tiny shop carries local products of all kinds, but they also prepare delectable dishes from them, including charcuterie plates with cheeses (here called a tagliere), bruschetta, and other things they decide to prepare each day. It's not fancy, but gives a nice sampling of local flavors, accompanied by (of course) local wines and beer. A few tables in the street give a nice sense of place, too. It's a great spot for an evening in the old town!
