Just ten kilometers north of Siena is a natural landscape dotted with sculptures. The Chianti Sculpture Park occupies 32 acres of woodlands with trails wending through it, taking visitors on a tour of international art.

The park was created as a place to integrate art and nature, as well as showcase the multicultural aspect of art, with artists from all over the world lending their expertise in different media. The contemporary works include metal sculptures, marble constructions, and a glass block labyrinth, among dozens of others. The Galleria La Fornace, housed in an old brick-making facility, highlights paintings and smaller, or more delicate sculptures. It's a nice place to take a break from Renaissance art. It lets you enjoy modern art in a timeless landscape, under the Tuscan sun!

There is also an amphitheatre where concerts are held every Tuesday in the summer months. A picnic area lets you bring your own lunch to enjoy with the strains of the songbirds to serenade you.

The Chianta Sculpture Park is located in Pievasciata, north of Siena. It is open daily from 10:00 AM til sunset.
