Borgo Ciro Winery

Near Pescia Fiorentino and not far from Capalbio, this family-run winery produces totally organic vintages. Taking advantage of the sea breezes that come from just 8 kilometers away, the slightly elevated position in the Maremma and climate at the foot of Monte Capita help produce excellent an ideal climate for the grapes. Using Sangiovese, Petit Verdot and Barbera, they make a noteworthy red and a robust rose' (rosato). They've garnered some awards, and even better -they utilize completely organic techniques.
