In alluring Arezzo, a monthly antique market adds to the city's vitality and scenery, and draws thousands of people. With the spectacular backdrop of Piazza Grande and Piazza San Francesco, the antique market is one of the best-known and most popular in Italy. It brings together about 500 exhibitors along with small shops and restorers to sell a vast array of items from books to silver, to ceramics, household items, paintings, farm implements, furniture and more. It's like an enormous flea market - an explosion of colors and by-gone gems. Of course, as the saying goes, "One man's junk is another man's treasure" so there is bound to be something for every taste. The market spills to the surrounding streets and imbues a lively atmosphere. It's a lot of fun to look, even if you're not searching for anything (we bet you'll still find something you'll want!)

It's held the first Sunday of every month along with the Saturday before it.

TIP: If you plan on coming to the antiques market, reserve a table for lunch. You will be hard-pressed to find an open table without a reservation on market days.
