Next to the main church in the upper piazza, the bakery produces excellent bread, along with some other goodies. The bread is typical Basilicata round loaves from double-ground semola flour which gives it a crunchy crust and a soft interior. It is delicious! They bake during the day so the bread comes out of the oven before dinner-time, so if you it want it hot and fresh, go at around 6:15 PM.

They make focaccia and round pizzas, and those sell out quickly, so go earlier if that's what you're after - around 5:00 PM. (If you miss out, you can also buy the pizza at the local supermarket, as well as the bread -for those who don't want to walk uphill.)

In addition, there is oregano-topped focaccia, long taralli crisps, some biscotti and sometimes a new surprise. Angela and Angelo are sweet and know how to bake delicious bread!
