Summer In Italy were absolutely fantastic. Excellent communications right through three years nearly of Covid, best service from a holiday company I've ever had. Thank you, excellent.

July 2022 - We enjoyed Villa Vesta very much. One of the best holiday-houses where we have stayed during 10 years in Southern Europe.

The owners were very helpful and friendly.

Everything worked very well with Summer In Italy, thank you.

September 2019 - Villa Vesta was a wonderful place to stay. In a rural setting there are beautiful views of the country side and vineyards. There is a very nice swimming pool area where we enjoyed several hours relaxing in the sun.

The property itself was very well kept up and clean and our host was available every day to assist in any needs that we might have and answer our numerous questions.

We greatly enjoyed our time there!

We had used Summer in Italy the first time we made a trip to Italy and were very happy with their services. Our questions and concerns were responded to very timely and appropriately. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others as well as we will refer to them when we make return trips to Italy. Thanks Summer In Italy!!

September 2019 - We stayed at the Villa Vesta with our entire family for 5 days and had the most amazing time. The Villa is beautiful. It is warm and inviting and meticulously maintained. We were a party of 8 adults and there was not one single moment that we felt cramped.

Make sure to treat yourself with a dinner made by the loving hands of Fatima [can be pre-arranged through Summer In Italy]. She is a fabulous cook!!! We originally set up 2 dinners but midway thru the first my husband and son set up another night. The menus are varied and absolutely wonderful. Tuscan cooking at its finest!!

We've been home for over a week and I keep traveling back to the villa as it truly is a magical place. Definitely 's

Travel tips

  • Be sure to stop at the local supermarket PAM. It is chock full of local fruits, veggies, wines, cheeses and meats. You will find everything you need to stock the kitchen.
  • Remember to bring washcloths [Italian-style towels are provided]. You will also need soap, TP, paper towels and napkins. If you are going to wash remember detergent.

June 2019 - Villa Vesta was way beyond wonderful! Views from all the upstairs windows are breathtaking; the back patio was beautiful, and a wonderful place to congregate in the morning for coffee, in the afternoon for wine, and for dinner and after. We spent all of our time "at home" on the patio.

We also loved the location, and the village of Montaione where there are very good restaurants, and the Bar-Aione where we went whenever possible for gelato. The location was also perfect for day trips by car and train to Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, and many smaller but no less interesting Tuscan hill towns.

The villa was clean, and the owners are very nice, and very responsive. The free WiFi was very useful.

Our stay at Villa Vesta was a wonderful and very memorable experience. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Summer in Italy is terrific. You were very responsive when we needed to get in touch with the owner one day when we couldn't. Your directions were pretty good, except that the route numbers are not on the signs. It's better to go from town to town following the directional signs along the way.

Travel tips

  • We loved eating at the Restaurant Pesce Rosso, La Tavernetta, Jiampa (not sure of spelling).
  • Don't miss San Miniato.
  • Take the train to the larger towns (Florence, Pisa). The train takes less travel time, and you won't have to worry about parking.
  • Be sure to bring bath soap!

The pool is awesome and a great treat at the end of the day's excursions into Tuscany.

Great service. Worked smoothly and would use it again.

August 2018 - We all enjoyed our stay very much. It was just like a dream.

Beautiful and well equipped house, garden, terrace and the swimming pool were all perfect.

The view from the windows on the second floor was amazing! The surroundings is among the most beautiful in Toscana.

Just perfect service, very good homepage and all the information you gave us were excellent :-)

Travel tips

  • We drove for example to Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni from Villa Vesta.
  • We found a bakery in Montaione and went there every morning.
  • For more shopping we used Coop in Castelfiorentino, follow the signs on every corner in the town, notice you can't pay with international credit cards, but there is an ATM outside.
  • Have a good map of Tuscany and of the cities you are visiting. It is very important to have a good map of all the little towns around you, it sometimes got difficult to find our way home in the evening when we were driving on the country roads. We didn't have navigator in our car.

June 2018 - This was our second stay at the villa. Villa Vesta was wonderful and accommodated our group perfectly.

The villa is kept beautifully and we loved spending time on our terrace.

Continue finding properties like this:)

Travel tips

  • Even though most people probably stay at the villa and make day trips to great destinations... take at least one or two days and just enjoy the property.

June 2018 - Our extended family of eight -- including three generations -- thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villa Vesta.

It was a perfect spot for exploring the area and a perfect setting to come home to in the evening.

It is a lovely property; nicely designed, furnished and kept. The owners have thought of just about everything and are very helpful on-site. We also enjoyed their wine!

I booked an apartment through Summer In Italy (in Positano) several years ago and was very pleased with the service. This experience was no different. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • The train from Castelfiorentino makes it very easy to make day trips into Florence and Siena.
  • Our favorite destinations in the area were Volterra and Lucca.
  • The Pam Express supermarket on the outskirts of Montaione is open until 8 pm.

May 2018 - We had wonderful vacation! Villa Vesta is a perfect place to rest! We were 3 families with small children, but the villa would perfectly fit for people with bigger children or without them. The villa itself, the surroundings, views, interiors are really wonderful and well kept. Roberto, the caretaker, was really helpful. On arriving we found villa spotlessly clean (this was my big concern :)).

There were some minimal disappointments but we forgot them at once. The location is a bit complicated -- the villa is about 2 km away from Montaione, if not more, and the road is always uphill, narrow with no sideways. Also, the rent of bikes is only in San Gimignano about 20 km away. So don't plan to walk or ride a bike to Montaione for a fresh bread every morning! (as we dreamed of :)) Two of the bedrooms are wonderful - upstairs with ancient furniture and spacious enough, but other two are not so nice (one is also upstairs, but quite small with a small window and the other is on the ground floor next door to the kitchen with also small window) - just for your information. We used the fireplace in the living room once, and it went very smokey, we had to leave the house for some time to wait until smoke goes away (and we all have experience with fireplaces!) - so ask the caretaker before using it. These are only minor problems, they did not upset us at all (except for the bikes, probably).

The one thing separated me (personally) from an ideal vacation - there was no view to the Tuscan hills from the terrace where our life took place. The splendid view is from the pool, that was a compromise :) In spite of that - we spent wonderful time on this estate.

I recommend it for everyone who wants Tuscan-life experience.

I am really amazed how good you are at communication - quick, nice and informative! While browsing for our vacation in Italy I found many sites of agencies renting villas. But I will certainly recommend only your agency if anyone asks me! You are an example of creating and maintaining relationship with a client (I am a marketing specialist myself, so I know the meaning!)

Travel tips

  • We asked recommendations about the restaurants and the one Roberto [the caretaker] advised us was magnificent - interiors, exteriors, food, service! Casa Mia (about 5 km away from Montaione to San Miniato).
  • Always book before planning a dinner at a restaurant! We made this mistake several times...
  • Visit Certaldo - quiet and small hill town.

April 2018 - This a high quality property that is very well managed at the local end.

A beautiful location for those wanting a relaxing holiday in the Tuscan countryside.

Travel tips

  • The location of this villa requires a car. It is 3 km to the centre of town and 4 to the Pam Supermarket.
  • The owners wine and olive oil that they produce is wonderful.
  • Have a toasted panini at the cafe in town and overlook the valley.

October 2017 - This villa was even more beautiful in person than the website. We had lots of room and it felt like being at home.

I would definitely return again and recommend this villa to our friends and family.

We would recommend your website to friends and family. Not disappointed in this villa at all.

Travel tips

  • If you stay at this Villa Vesta, I would book the cook to come and prepare a meal at the house. She was fantastic and would have used her more often but others had already booked her.

July 2017 - Villa Vesta is a lovely property.

The garden is very relaxing and private with a wonderful view of the hill town, Montaione.

The owners were most helpful and accommodating.

Travel tips

  • Villa Vesta is nicely located for day trips. Taking the train from Castelfiorentino saved a lot of driving and parking concerns at your destination.

June 2017 - Villa Vesta is a wonderful property. The Villa itself is absolutely gorgeous -- and large.

Everything is spotlessly clean, the bathrooms are lovely, kitchen far nicer than those found in most homes.

The entire building has been meticulously renovated. The pool area is also terrific, with magnificent views.

Covered parking (and plenty of it) was an added plus especially since it was unusually hot for June during our stay.

The town of Montaione close by gives a sense of "real" Italy -- and Carpe Diem, one of the restaurants there, is excellent.

Also don't miss out on having a real Italian dinner cooked for you right in the villa. It's a real treat!

It was a true please working with Summer in Italy. Everything was as promised, whole process was astoundingly simple and everything worked smoothly. The Villa itself was even better than our expectations.

July 2016 - Villa Vesta was even better than we expected. The pictures on Summer in Italy were accurate -- the place really was as beautiful as it looked.

The villa was spacious, comfortable, clean, and offered all the modern amenities you could wish for.

The owner/caretaker was on the property daily, so there was always someone there to handle questions or problems.

The location is great if you want to explore the Tuscan countryside. We hope to return again!

My experience with Summer in Italy was ideal. I booked with Summer in Italy because of the quality of the web site and the reasonable prices for the rentals. Everything was exactly as we expected with our rental. I have already recommended Summer in Italy to our friends here.

Unfortunately, Villa Vesta can not be booked at this time.

We would love to help you find a suitable alternative. Please be in touch for personal advice from our staff!
