Fantastic

Travel tips

  • Praiano turned out to be a good choice of location as it was much quieter than Amalfi or Positano.
  • Praiano is not a large village but there are plenty of places to eat and we had particularly good meals at Gastronomia Che Bontà (at the bottom of the hill) and at Restaurant La Brace where I had the best tuna I have ever eaten.
  • When walking around Praiano try to keep off the roads by taking the wonderful and ancient pedestrian passages. There are also some lovely churches.
  • Villa Fulvia is a good apartment in a good location and on the SITA bus routes to Amalfi and Positano.
  • SITA buses can fill quickly and went past without stopping on one occasion.
  • The local bus service between Praiano or Positano is really good.
  • In Positano you can get all the boat trips you want to Amalfi, Sorrento and Capri.
  • If you are a walker there is the spectacular "Walk of the Gods" which can be started from Praiano. Fantastic day out with lots of effort but we took our time.

September 2014 - We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Fulvia.

It could do with some modernisation in the bathroom but the view is amazing and it was very comfortable indeed.

It really was a great place and we would stay there again.

Fantastic

September 2013 - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Fulvia. The villa is not new but was spotlessly clean and has been renovated and well maintained. It has a charming character you would never find in a modern hotel suite.

Appliances except for the iron worked well. The fridge and washing machine were an excellent feature.

Ciao e grazie from Norman and Cathy. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Travel tips

  • Future guests, be aware that Praiano is sculpted from the side of a cliff so every excursion involves hills at best and hundreds of stairs on occasion.
  • The lady in the tourist office is excellent with perfect English and knowledge of everything that you could need to know.
  • Amalfi coast is a long ride from Rome either by bus or train, so best to leave a day early and overnight in Rome to shorten your return trip home.

Very good

September 2012 - We had a wonderful stay at Villa Fulvia. Mr Nicola [the owner] met us and showed us around pointing out all the features of the villa.

The view from the balcony was amazing. We were able to sit on the balcony with some home cooked meals from the kitchen and enjoy the fantastic view. It was also great to be able to wash our clothes in the washing machine.

The village of Praiano is a lovely quiet area to stay and the people there are friendly and helpful. It is a bit of a hike up the hill from the village but well worth it. We met Mr Nicola in the village one day and we stopped and had a chat. He was happy to tell us a little of his local knowledge.

We were happy with the service and you provided us with detailed information.

Travel tips

  • The local SITA buses are the public transport to other villages, easy to use. Bus tickets are purchased at the Tobacconist Shop.
  • There is a small tourist office in Praiano and the person there is happy to give any information.
  • We loved the little grocery shop across the road at the bottom of the hill and the butcher minced up steaks for us.
  • We caught the ferry from Positano to Amalfi and were able to view the great coastline.

June 2012 - We had a wonderful stay in Villa Fulvia. The owners who lived next door were unobtrusive but were really nice when we met them a couple of times. The view is awesome!

It all worked really well for us.

Your website looked inviting and the information was very helpful and made it easier choosing a villa. The additional information was also very useful. I would recommend Summer in Italy to my friends.

Travel tips

  • The village of Praiano is lovely. There are only a few shops but they have everything you want and are really friendly.
  • The property is located up a a steep road but that is why there is a fantastic view! It is a short walk to the village, however you can also drive up and down easily.
  • Driving can be interesting on the coast road but the local bus service is very good for getting to neighbouring places such as Positano.

September 2011 - Great location and excellent view.

The climb up the hill (road) to the villa is a little taxing but it could be worse when you look around at the location of some of the other villas! We were very surprised when we actually arrived to see the size was larger than we expected. Great for 2 people. But it was very nice being there and overall a very pleasant place to stay.

What a wonderful experience it has been dealing with Summer in Italy. Great service and friendly people. I found Summer in Italy on the internet and decided to use for the booking - so just pure chance and luck really! Being able to contact you 24/7 is also excellent as we did that when the owners were not answering their phone on our arrival.

August 2011 - Loved Villa Fulvia. Perfect size for a young couple. Great little kitchen for us to cook most things. Amazing views over Amalfi Coast to Positano with stunning sunsets.

The hill to climb up from the centre of town was a bit annoying, but we appreciated the exercise after all the yummy Italian food we were eating.

Would definitely go back.

Travel tips

  • Owner insisted we go on his boat up the coast, which was hard to organize as he didn't speak any English but we ended up going so not to be rude and we thought it would be nice. I thought that it was a really friendly gesture of the owner to take us out until he only gave us 30 euro of our 100 euro deposit back and said the other 70 euro was for the boat trip. Know that the boat ride isn't free.

July 2011 - We stayed 7 nights at Villa Fulvia in the Summer of 2011 and had a wonderful time. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 small children).

The place was clean, it had everything we needed and the view was priceless!!

The best part of staying at Villa Fulvia however were the owners/hosts, who live in the apartment next door. Mr. Nicola and his wife were very warm and welcoming. We highly recommend this place to anyone.

October 2010 - Our stay at Villa Fulvia was very enjoyable, note though we did have our two boys sleeping on the sofa lounge. Waking up to that stunning view each morning was a highlight of our stay.

The kitchen provided for our needs as a self catering family and it was great to have the shop just at the bottom of the street to buy our groceries. The unit was clean and fresh and furnished adequately.

It was so nice to be met by our friendly caretaker, Signor Nicola, who made us feel very welcome.

We were happy with the service provided by Summer In Italy. Jill Wilkinson from the Travel managers in WA put us onto the links. We also used Summer In Italy for our accommodation in Rome. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • There are a couple of shops just at the bottom of the street that carry a good range of produce, ie milk, bread, fruit and vegetables. They have a range of wine and beer plus a good deli.
  • There are several restaurants in Praiano.
  • The bus stop is also at the bottom of the street and tickets can be purchased at the tobacconist.
  • The unit has a washing machine, you need your own powder.

Travel tips

  • The whole town is great! Bar Del Sole is the main hangout for great caffe, drinks, food and gelato and mingling with other tourists but best of all the locals are everywhere and it is just the greatest. Opens early and stays open late too! We were there all of the time!!!

September 2010 - Fantastic views, great set up and contained everything we needed. It was also a very good walking distance from the village of Praiano.

The villa was also very clean and tidy and had a washing machine which was great when you have been travelling for a while.

The directions from Roma were excellent and very helpful. Your prompt emails and communications were appreciated. Payment was very clear and no hidden costs. I have already recommended your website and I will certainly use your services again when next holidaying in Italy.

Travel tips

  • Enjoy the views and the ambiance. Very relaxing atmosphere.
  • Just a warning about locals offering boat trips to Positano - they expect to be paid though don't tell you how much until later and they are very expensive. Maybe we were just naive there! [Yes, we recommend always asking how much first. While the locals are not likely to take advantage of you, boat trips are expensive in general, and so it is better to ask first so that you are not surprised later!]
  • There is a steep walk up the hill to get there if you do not have wheels on your case or a backpack - but it adds to the fun of it all.

July 2010 - We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The view was outstanding... the best view we have ever had on a holiday and the reason we booked the accommodation. The very cool air conditioning in the bedroom was so welcome after escaping the heat! We would certainly recommend Villa Fulvia to family and friends.

Mr Nicola and his wife [the owners] were lovely people... very accommodating. One day Mr Nicola gave us a bucket full of fruit and veg from his very impressive garden. Lovely people. The language barrier added to the experience!

The bed was extremely comfortable, lots of wardrobe space which is very important! We stayed in 1 night and cooked and all the cooking facilities we needed were available!

Very enjoyable stay! Would use again.

Very happy with the communication and service received by Summer in Italy - would definitely recommend to family and friends and will use again on our next visit to Italy - we will definitely be back to your beautiful country. We had the best holiday of our lives!

Travel tips

  • Restaurant Il Pino - we ate there 3 nights in a row - every night after our first visit and had we found it on our first night we would have gone every night - absolutely beautiful food! Other restaurants were also good but Il Pino stood out.
  • Praiano is a fantastic place - after visiting surrounding towns on the Amalfi drive we were very pleased we had picked Praiano - less tourist than the other places. Lovely.
  • A visit to Ravello is a must.
  • One word of advice - you must be relatively fit to climb steps/steep hills although the exercise is good after eating so much beautiful food!

June 2010 - We loved Villa Fulvia; it was a quiet refuge for 6 days. Central to the bus line and shops, we never needed a car. Public transportation to nearby towns saved hours of parking and driving hassle.

Villa Fulvia is clean and comfortable. The important appliances (coffeemaker, stove and refrigerator) were there and the kitchen was reasonably appointed with dishes and cutlery.

The bedroom was comfortable but would have benefited from a ceiling fan or a more forceful air conditioner. It was the only room that did not have cross-breezes to cool it.

There was a small private terrace and the small balcony overlooked the sea, with a good view of fireworks in Positano. The entire property is nicely kept.

Everything Summer in Italy told us was true. We were satisfied with the level of service. We had absolutely no problems with the firm.

Travel tips

  • Be sure to stock up on coffee, bread etc. on Saturday arrival, the shop is closed on Sunday.
  • The tobacconist sells the bus tickets but is closed for several hours from about 1 to 3 or 4 p.m. Buy in advance.
  • Parking is very limited, use public transportation, it's pretty good and it's cheap.
  • The owner did not speak much English, but does speak German apparently. We got by with Spanish and sign language. He wasn't around enough to make it a real issue.

May 2010 - Conveniently located, some 400 metres from shops and restaurants on fairly peaceful road -- great view across the ocean to Positano (night lights were lovely).

The family who own this apartment live in the adjoining unit -- no noise or interference from them, just cheery greetings when our paths crossed.

The building is modern, super clean and plenty of room for two (even 4 if divan used).

Price was OK relative to lots of other apartments we have used.

You can proudly/confidently recommend this accommodation.

It was great that our car could be safely parked in Nicola's garage for the week - packed away with another car and racks of tomatoes drying out!

You have been great, very helpful and have kept us informed all the way. Thanks.

Travel tips

  • Try La Brace in the village and also Trattoria San Gennaro Pizzeria overlooking the piazza. Every meal was great.

July 2009 - We found Villa Fulvia to be a lovely place to stay. It is situated close to the shops, bars and restaurants and within access to the beach. It is also very close to the local and Sita bus stops.

The villa is situated approx 5-10 min walk up a relatively steep incline. The villa itself was modern, clean and adequately equipped. The air conditioning in the bedroom was appreciated in the height of summer.

The balcony which provided an amazing view over the sea, coast line and Positano has enough space for two chairs and a small table. For alfresco dining, the terrace to the side of the house has a larger table and chairs but does not provide such an amazing view. The villa enjoyed sun on the side terrace from 9.30 am and later on, on the balcony until the sun went down.

The owner has a wonderful garden with an abundance of fruit and vegetables and was extremely generous with his produce whilst we stayed there.

The area is quiet with some road noise.

The owner of the villa lives next door so is on hand should you need him. He has a balcony adjacent to the balcony in Villa Fulvia. The side terrace however is not overlooked at all and very private.

The villa was the perfect size for two people.

We have always enjoyed the high level of customer service that Summer in Italy have provided in both the booking process and when needed whilst in the accommodation. We have found it so helpful to be able to ask questions via email and get a speedy response when we are trying to choose accommodation to really suit our needs from the vast amount Summer in Italy has to offer. Thank you!!

Travel tips

  • The owner does not speak or understand much English, he does speak and understand German very well. From our experience we would ensure that any arrangements are made with the help of Summer in Italy staff to ensure that everything is fully understood on both sides.

July 2009 - As there is one bedroom, it definitely is a place for a couple. However, there is a sofa-bed in the lounge which we also used.

Great views to the coastline from the little balcony and a useful terrace around the side. Handy to the shops at the bottom of the road (3 mins). Also, catch a bus there into Positano.

The first weekend in July is another festival at San Luca. Entertaining to see all the locals enjoying themselves.

The manager of the villa who lives next door speaks little English and made us very welcome. He has an excellent vegetable garden!

This is the third time we have used Summer in Italy and won't be our last!

October 2008 - Villa Fulvia has a most amazing view from it's balcony. It is a virtually uninterrupted view of the Mediterranean and the coastline. The balcony is small but perfect for two. There is another larger terrace. There is a double bed but it is hard! The cupboard space is excellent. The main seating area in the lounge is the sofa bed, this is uncomfortable but was not a major problem as we were either out or sitting on the balcony most of the time. There is a large dining table and four chairs. The kitchenette and bathroom are adequate. The Villa is painted completely white with beautiful vaulted ceilings and has a lovely ambiance.

We chose Summer in Italy as the website was packed with genuine information and easy to use. Everything went smoothly. We had a fantastic holiday. Thank you.

Travel tips

  • There are several small supermarkets in Praiano open till 8.30 pm. The very small supermarket on Via Umberto I sells nice fresh bread every day. There are two pharmacies, Tourist information, cash point.
  • Fortunately, once you have climbed the initial steps from the apartment, the shops, bus stops, only involve walking up and down a hill without steps.
  • All the shop keepers are friendly and helpful. All the villagers are lovely and always greet you. There are a lot of mopeds in Praiano which can reduce the ambiance.
  • Transportation by bus is excellent.
  • Restaurants are excellent, Strada, Brace, Hotel Tramonto D'oro. And the comfortable bar/tea room at Hotel Fioriere, will do you delicious toasted sandwiches even at midnight.
  • The beaches are only accessible via long, long staircases.
  • If you need a taxi from the airport, Claudio Lucibello from Ravello drives very carefully and is a true gentleman.
  • During the daytime there is a good airport bus service from Naples airport to Sorrento station. Then bus straight to Praiano. We did this journey on our return.

September 2008 - The view was truly amazing!!! I don't think we could've asked for a better view!

Unfortunately there was some building works/men cutting down trees etc which was a little noisy some mornings, but it did not go on too long!

The Villa was generally very clean when we arrived and had a lovely lay out - perfect for 2 people wanting a quite week away and a great base from which to explore the surrounding area.

It was a little annoying that there was no holder for the shower head... but I think this would be our only complaint!

Mr Nicola [the owner] and his wife were very helpful and kind.

Travel tips

  • We really enjoyed playing cards with an early evening drink in Bar del Sole (which serves VERY good chocolate ice cream too!) overlooking the great view from the terrace.
  • The buses were very good - no need to drive a car around during your stay (although, a rental car is good for getting to and from the airport!).
  • A trip to Capri is definitely a must and spend time in Positano.

September 2008 - Villa Fulvia was excellent value and very comfortable. It was a steep climb to the villa but was well worth the view and location once you got up there. We are both much fitter since we got back!!

Senore Nicola, the owner, does not speak a lot of English, but with my 'baby' Italian we managed to talk and mostly understood. However, his son, who initially met us speaks good English.

Villa Fulvia is suited to two people, with plenty of room. The cooking facilities are good, though with so many fantastic restaurants we only did that twice. The view from the front balcony was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of (very) hot water. All in all a lovely place.

Thank you for all your help with arranging the day late arrival. I think it would have been very difficult without your interpretive assistance. In fact all your services have been excellent and I have been recommending your website and services to many of my friends.

Travel tips

  • Make use of the little local bus that goes via Praia beach and on to Positano. All the bus services are regular and not too expensive, you soon get blase to the sheer drops as you hare along the windy roads!!
  • If you don't fancy the 800 odd steps to the little cove more or less directly below (though it is lovely and great for snorkeling), for a swim take the bus to Positano or Amalfi.

May 2008 - It was everything, and more.

What a great kitchen. The bathroom was so large. I loved having a tub. It is just beautiful.

I had the most beautiful view in the world. I loved the villa. The only thing was the hill from town. But I mastered that the third day.

I could have just sat on the balcony or the terrace and never left.

I would not recommend it for anyone that has trouble walking. The hill to it is long and very steep. But its well worth it. I would love to stay there the next time I go.

I found you on Slow Travel.com. You all were so helpful. The pictures do not show how wonderful it really is. But I will always use your company when ever I am in Italy.

October 2007 - We have enjoyed our stay at Villa Fulvia during the last week of September and the first week of October 2007. As the weather was fine (sunny and warm) we could have appreciated the exceptional view over the Gulf of Salerno and the peninsula that goes from Positano towards the point facing the island of Capri.

The villa is located at about 300-400 meters (1000 feet) from the center of Praiano, at the top of a steep hill. It could be tiring if you don't have a car but when you are having your vacation, you only have to take your time and admire the landscape.

The owner of Villa Fulvia have to invest just a little in the living room furniture and provide utensils for cooking so that one could be very pleased to live in this Villa.

We would have liked to talk in Italian in order to be understood by the owner or manager and his wife. They don't speak English neither French.

We were very pleased to book with Summer In Italy. We were well informed about the villas available with their specific characteristics. If we ever go back to Italy, we will probably contact you.

Travel tips

  • By walking, you can get to marvellous small sandy-gravelly beaches located at the mouth of steep rocky embayments. Bars and restaurants can be found nearby.
  • In a often crowdy but cheap bus, one can reach other interesting small towns along the coast: Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento where you can take the train to get to Pompei and Napoli along the Bay of Naples.
  • For those who would like to go to the island of Capri, there are ferries leaving either Positano or Sorrento. Be aware, you won't be alone.
  • The Italian way-of-life can be tasted almost everywhere.

August 2007 - The Villa itself was great with a fantastic view of the gulf and even of Positano in the distance.

It had every facility promised and the caretakers were friendly and helpful.

The location on top of the hill made it a chore walking 400 steps to the beach. We spent the whole time relaxing at the apartment and didn't even bother going to the awful beach (by our standards) after our first visit.

August 2007 - Villa Fulvia's best asset is a most incredible view -- from the Torre del Grado to Positano and out to Li Galli and Capri.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meals looking out the French windows as the sun set over the Mare Tirreno.

It is very convenient to Praiano/Vettica Maggiore so that we got around by walking and public transportation without any problem.

Thank you for a truly relaxing vacation. I will recommend you to friends here in the States.

Travel tips

  • It's a great place from which to hike the Sentiero degli Dei. We hiked 2 days, both via the Convento di San Domenico. The view from the Convento is spectacular. One day we hiked towards Positano (about 3 hrs total from Praiano)
  • The other towards Bomerano/Agerola.
  • We'd recommend going for a day trip with the property manager, Nicola, who lives next door, on his boat. He took us all the way out to Li Galli, we swam wherever we wanted and he made us a great lunch.
  • The restaurant La Strada in Vettica Maggiore had the best food and nicest service.
  • Final word: Nicola really doesn't speak English at all. Bring a dizionario! [The Summer In Italy staff is always happy to translate over the phone should the need ever arise! Usually it doesn't... :-)]

June 2007 - We had a great time at Villa Fulvia, it was so spacious and clean and the views from the balconies were fantastic. It was great having two balconies as we had the sun on either one at different stages of the day.

The owners had no English and we had no Italian but it's amazing what you can communicate through sign language and gestures!

It was really good having the air conditioning as the weather got very hot while we were there.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa for a quiet, chilled out holiday. We fell in love in Praiano itself, it felt so local and we felt totally immersed in the Italian lifestyle.

Keep up the good work, we love your site and it will be our first port of call for booking our summer holidays in 2008.

  • Make sure you have good walking shoes for the hill to the villa. Good fitness is required or a car if you have one.
  • Make sure you catch the local tour to Isle of Capri from Praiano harbour, well worth it!

February 2007 - Unbelievable view! Great location - Praiano is more of a real town and we think it was much better staying there than in Positano.

I was really happy with your service. You answered all my questions promptly and especially liked your friendly attitude. I would use your service again. Thanks.

October 2006 - We enjoyed Villa Fulvia very much.

For two people it is a large apartment with one rather small balcony (2 persons) with a beautiful view (on the coast) of Praiano and Positano and another somewhat larger balcony with a sea view.

Good parking facilities which are rare at the Amalfi coast.

Travel tips

  • There are two beaches in Praiano, one in the direction of Amalfi, the other one in Praiano itself. Near the church there are signs leading you to a quiet (concrete) beach (a 15 minute walk with many steps) with a very nice terrace and view of sunset on Positano.
  • In Praiano and other villages you have small supermarkets. At Castellammare di Stabia, near Pompei a big Auchan.
  • Capri is nicer when you wander around the island by bus for a day. Take an early boat from Positano. A few hours in Capri city is 'just' nice.

October 2006 - We loved the house. It made a perfect base for trips up and down the Amalfi coast and to Capri.

No-nonsense, stylist furnishings without clutter. Balcony was a bit smaller than expected, but two people could sit out on chairs; we just left the French doors open and the other two of us sat just inside the doors while we shared our evening wine. The living room convertible bed was actually quite comfortable.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and follow-up at every stage. I would recommend your service to anyone. We have been using the internet exclusively for four years to plan holidays, and your site was the most informative and helpful we've used to date. Thank you!

Travel tips

  • Pay attention to the posted electrical restrictions - we managed to pop the fuse three times while preparing dinners. Definitely turn unnecessary lights, air conditioning, or the water heater off when using the oven! A flashlight was indispensable for these occasions.
  • The bus driver forgot to tell us when we reached Praiano (even off season the bus was quite crowded and we couldn't see out of the windows). We ended up hiking 1.5 km back into Praiano including an unlit tunnel on a fairly daunting road (until you get used to the idea of cars roaring past within inches). Ideally for first time arrival try to sit on the right side of the bus near the front or rear exit so you can watch for road signage.
  • I wouldn't recommend a rental car unless you're used to the driving here. The locals sit along cafe sidewalks watching the "road theatre" as full size tour buses try to pass each other. It's understandable that about half the local cars don't have rear view mirrors any more.
  • We found a sign on a local market door advertising boat trips to Capri (La Boa, tel. 089-813034 or cellular 335-345739). Instead of an expected trip to Positano or further in search of a boat, we walked to Marina Di Praia, about 2 km south of Praiano. We lucked into a lovely 30 ft. boat with captain for just the 4 of us, and had a wonderful day including a tour of the coastline for 50 euros each. So much nicer than the Sorrento high speed catamarans with 200 people aboard!

September 2006 - Thoroughly enjoyed it. Praiano is a delightful respite from the touristy towns of Positano and Amalfi. While we enjoyed our visits to both, having Villa Fulvia to come home to was a real plus. It's beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. A real find.

We have already circulated your name and the name of the villa to all of our friends with a recommendation that they contact you when they are headed for Italy. We were completely satisfied with your service, and with the villa itself.

Just keep doing it the way you did it for us. Your attention to detail, and the lack of any "hype" were both appreciated. We'll be back, and you're our rental agent.

Travel tips

  • The local Bank-o-Mat (ATM) might not accept your credit card for withdrawals. It appears to be a security measure, as the cash machines located at their branch banks work just fine. Don't hit town low on cash though, as the closest bank seems to be in Positano.
  • The three restaurants on the ocean side of the main street in Praiano are all quite good, Rest. San Gennaro and both of the hotel dining rooms.
  • If you'd like to pick up things for the kitchen, the first grocery store at the bottom of the hill has the best bread and the best prices, the next one has the best selection and will add cash to your bill if you need to replenish your wallet. Helped us out until we could get to Positano and the bank branch.

September 2006 - Me and my friends enjoyed Villa Fulvia very much!

The view had meditative impact on all of us - the days normally ended up with the four of us sitting all quiet on the balcony simply enjoying the amazing view of the gorgeous Mediterranean.

Our contacts with Summer in Italy were all very easy to handle. We consider SiI being a very reliable and serious agency. Me and my partner will for sure come back to Italy next year and probably rent a place through SiI!

August 2006 - My husband and I did enjoy Villa Fulvia.

When we first arrived, we were a little nervous about the location which was up a hill and a bit of a walk from the town but that turned out to be fine and it was nice to be able to get away from the activity at night.

It was a nice, clean, bright and comfortably laid out apartment with A/C. And having a washing machine there for laundry was a big plus.

The views are amazing.

One bit of advice: the bedroom photo for Villa Fulvia is taken from the terrace door and it appears, in the photo, as if the bedroom is an interior room without a window. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that we could walk out onto the terrace from the bedroom and it was not a dark, interior room.

I was completely satisfied with Summer in Italy.

June 2006 - We have rented many apartments in Europe and this time the Internet didn't do the property justice. The view on to the sea and mountains from the small balcony is stupendous. The property is exceptionally clean and beautifully renovated. Ideal for 2 but I expect crowded for 4.

The balcony with the stunning view is too small to dine on; there is another balcony with a partial sea view off the bedroom and dining/sitting room. The place is constructed to allow through drafts and is airy.

The Amalfi coast requires walking up & down hills: the apartment is well located for public transport and grocery shopping but does require a 10 minute up hill walk.

Everything worked out brilliantly. The money transactions were easy;the directions were clear; the arrival arrangements worked out perfectly. I have already recommended your organization to friends.

Thank you for making our stay so easy and enjoyable.

May 2006 - Nice appartment, great possibility to have breakfast (in the sun) and dinner (with sun also, what is rare! because of particular situation of the villages on the Amalfi coast) on terrace and enjoy view on Positano.

Washing machine, gas cooker (great to cook!), 2 or 3 small shops to buy local products and 2 or 3 (tested) good restaurants nearby.

Appartment situated centrally in Praiano, enabling to access the whole village, the climbing paths, but a little bit too far from the 2 small beaches in Praiano.

Positano and Amalfi are 20 minutes bus far away, great to visit!

May 2006 - We thorougholy enjoyed our two week stay! Villa Fulvia was ideal for our needs.

It was in a quiet location, but also close to both the supermarket and bus stop.

It was very spacious for two people and had spectacular views.

April 2006 - We loved Villa Fulvia. It was a real contrast to the bustle of Positano. Praiano and the Villa itself are much quieter and more peaceful.

The only possible drawback was that there is quite a steep walk up from the main road. Not a problem for us as we went to the Amalfi coast for the very purpose of walking.

We are actually considering returning to Villa Fulvia sometime next year.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Summer in Italy.

April 2006 - We loved this little house. My husband and I are still talking about it. From the moment we walked in we new that our stay would be very comfortable.

The unit was clean, well located had great views and the town of Praiano was an excellent choice (though we found it quite by accident while looking for villas on your website).

The owner/manager, Mr. Nicola and his brother and sister-in-law were charming. Even though I was on vacation, it was fun to shop for food in town (or a local markets) and cook every night. I found the kitchen to be well suited. I hope that they did not mind me clipping fresh basil and parsely from their garden.

We slept quite well as the unit was well insulated from outside noise and the adjacent living units. In fact we were so impressed with the little town and the building that we would like to buy a little piece of Praiano. I can not tell you how happy were were to stay there.

On the morning of our departure I washed the sheets and hung them out to dry... boy did I get a big hugs and kisses from Mrs. Nicola she ran back into her unit to give us a gift of lemons and pottery !!!

We can imagine Mrs. Nicola hugging you! Guests are not expected to be washing sheets, of course, she must have been surprised and delighted :-)
